Though your comment upon observing my four minute carto-refilling process, "If I were a smoker I'd smoke or quit" is interesting... when I give a .... what a non-smoker would do about their hypothetical nicotine addiction, I might consult you specifically, although probably not, because it sounds like you'd deal with it like a masochist.

Thanks. :glare:

You have to give them a little side eye.

Too many nonsmokers nowadays believe that they have a license to be rude.

I was vaping in the smoking area on the sidewalk outside of an airport. The area was NOT directly by a door. The area WAS boldly and clearly marked the Smoking Area. A lady walks by and makes a snide remark about smoke! ??? Could she not read? Could she not cross the street? Of course she could, but she instead decided to just be an ...!!

The hardest thing is the fact that one of my smoking coworkers likes to make remarks about the fact that I came out over budget in my first month. If I can get away with getting two people completely kitted out with reliable starter equipment for the first two months at about $500... that's pretty phenomenal. NY cigarettes cost $12.25 - 12.50 now. So that's a lot of cigarettes... but if these cartos have anything of the longevity that I'm hoping they will then I should be going into month 3 needing only liquid, replacement cartos (I ordered 20), and the inevitable bits of bling and upgrade, since I can't really help myself.

I'm going to end up with something complicated and beautiful that I understand backwards and forward and the new hobby of running up 5 flights of stairs two at a time, and you're going to feel like .... and be cynical.

I have no regrets.

The only workmate that seems to get it instinctively is a chew, black & mild, and nasal snuff guy, but not technically a smoker. His girlfriend doesn't want him to get one, or at the very most to get 0mg juice. I dunno... maybe she's right to guard over his mild addiction to that sweet, sweet nic.

He was laughing today because I was coughing a little on my 'smoke break,' and said, "man, this peanut butter is hitting hard."

I remember reading a story (might of been on here) about a dude, who started smoking for two years with a plan to quit cold turkey just to prove to his loved ones that he could do it. I think it started off with a comment about how "anyone who knows me, knows I'm a very caring and generous individual" (Paraphrasing), I thought he was bonkers. And as to your co-worker, I've seen that pattern before, whenever someone tries to better themselves, they will have people in their lives try and cut-them down...It's kinda sad really. They probably do laugh and think it's silly what you're doing, as they continue on with their PAD lives. But perhaps with a little bit of luck, they'll hit that wall, where they don't want to die from smoking, and pick up e-cigs. Then they'll pat themselves on the back for coming up with this wonderful idea and they'll be going on and on about the benefits of e-cigs to anyone within ear-shot, and ppl will laugh at them too. The world is vicious that way my friend :).

You cannot help those who do not want help, even if you want whats best for them more than they do. The worst feeling I have ever had is when I have watched people give me 1000 reasons for wanting to do something. I am willing to help them, and get emotionally attached, and then they don't put any work or follow through to it...It just destroys you inside.

People will do as they wish, no matter what.

Its an education process. There are some who love to learn and others who think they already know everything

Yes indeed, and then there's those poor misguided souls like me who always loved to learn, but hated to be taught. I finally figured out why that was, and was able to change it: in order to be *teachable* I had to admit to myself there was something I couldn't discover on my own. Now I see, that old type of thinking is a breeding ground for the "non-nicotine nazi mindset" so rampant in our society today. Glad I finally got rid of it!

I had a non-smoker the other night at a get together with a bunch of friends claim my vaping was causing her smoke allergies to act up, and not the two hookahs in the room. What is amusing is that I am getting the hookah users into vaping because they like how much easier it is to use, and that the flavors are delicious.

I honestly want to punch those people in the face...smoke allergies? What fantasy world does that exist in?

Thats like saying you are allergic to liquids.
