So I was thinking about snagging an RSST/Magneto combo. My question is, how would one compare in 18350 mode with a not sub ohm coil to a clearo? I always hear about sub-ohm and how amazing it is. But I like the small 18350 form factor. So even if I wouldn't be building sub-ohm coils would an rba still be leaps and bounds above a clearo?

Sorry if this question has been asked a million times... I'm doing all the research I can in addition to asking here.

you dont have to go real sub ohm to enjoy an rba, the resistance is not directly related to the function, overall they are designed to work better and much thought is given when designing them to making the flavor stand out..

if you get a good one and set it up correctly you will never touch a clearo again lol
so much more flavor, vapor and nic delivery.

That's kind of what I'm figuring... So about using an 18350. In a Mech mod is that just going to hit at 3.7v? Looking at my handy dandy APV chart that means I could go down to 1.7 ohms?

Or am I looking at it all wrong?

Having just thrown all of my RBA;s and the wire in the trash and stuffed all the cotton and hemp rope in the medicine closet I recommend a a good Carto tank and a couple of 5 packs of good 3 ohm carto's....

(I got tired of fiddling and decided to become disposable again.....LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!)

I'm a tinkerer so I think this is a natural progression. Just didn't think I would be considering this soon.

the problem with a mechanical is once you start going above the 1.5 ish mark the battery wont hold up for very long vapor wise.

for an example i run .8 on my mechanical and 18650 battery and i easily get all day before the vapor drops off. right around 3.4 - 3.5 volts the vapor gets weak.

i dont use 350's so without looking at the amperage charts i dont know the max amp draw you can pull.
just have to know the amp limit of the battery and calculate the resistance using the ohms law calculator.

This would probably strictly a home device.

At home, why not just do 18650's and go for lower ohms? Battery life isn't too important when you're staring at a charger. I love the RSST, the only problem I have is that I'm hardly ever at home. It's a fantastic device for it's price point.

Hmm. Good points.
