WTF? I just went to make a big order, and the money is on the card... theres NO mistaking that, but the site is declining my transaction. Has this ever happened to anyone else? The site is glitching or something. I will phone it in in the am.

Give me a call tomorrow morning and I'll make sure it gets taken care of... not sure what would be going on.

Yes, today. I made an electronic payment on my Master Card about noon. I tried to order a dse 905 about 7PM. Declined.
When I went back to the MC site, the payment was still showing as pending even though i had made the electronic transfer 6 or 8 hrs before. B of A doesn't have the 2PM cut off like many banks do, so I don't know what the problem was. I used another card.

I had the same problem all day Sunday; my credit card, saved on their site (I have ordered from V4L many times using the saved billing info), was continually denied. There was no mismatch, no problem from Chase (I spent an hour on the phone with them, no suspicious activity, confirmed CVV2 #, etc), I even placed an order with Amazon (that I really didn't need to) just to confirm card function. I logged on / off, deleted card, re-entered card, all information was identically entered (as it was before), still nothing.

Val was kind enough to reply on a Sunday afternoon, but all she could say was: "Verify that you entered your billing information exactly as you have it listed with your credit card company. Our system didn't decline the card. Our system submitted the information provided by you to your credit card company and then they declined the charge. All I can do is suggest logging out of your account, logging back in, and then re-entering your billing information carefully. Valerie".

Needless to say, I was not happy with the V4L server / card authentication server - there DEFINITELY was a problem on the V4L end, as it worked fine Monday morning. It may have been something out of their control related to card verification services they use, but I doubt I will ever know. All I can suggest is to try it again the next day; maybe Steve can help you if it still doesn't work.

I had the same issue as geeker. I once tried to pay some of my tuition with my debit card and it was declined even though the money was in there. I called the bank and it turned out that I had a limit I didn't even know about. They will raise it anytime I call and tell them to but then it goes right back down again. It's for your protection in case your card ever gets stolen.

I've had this happen a lot with a card from one bank, it always gets rejected when I order something online and then I get notices that someone used the card and it got rejected for security reasons because using it online didn't fit my profile or whatever. I can't use the thing online because it gets rejected, so I can't build up a "profile" of use of the card online. Lame.

I have to use another card when ordering online so I don't have any problems.
