While I am sure it is already understood by all or most all, when Imeo returns to handle the lottery portion of the contest, he and he alone will decide how to handle edits close to the end numerically and chronologically.
I am equally as sure that Imeo will now include a notice regards edits before next months contest as a part of the rules set. It's usually easier to keep it simple until a question does arise (as this has) and then include that for succeeding contest
threads.
If you do a commercial type contest rule set, you wind up with dozens of pages of legalese that no one reads to start with. Any who, this will be sorted soon enough.
Some seemed a bit surprised I was made an Asociate for Imeo with only 9 months under my belt here on ECF but as stated, it wasn't for my expertise in GG series.
No matter how much we normally all get along, there will be times (like now) when Imeo is unavailable for a comment or decision and he wanted someone that was willing to moderate the GG forums based on forum, not GG experience. It was more for the 27 years I spent as a real life arbiter (cop) and some 16 years as an online moderator/arbiter.
That said, I am many things but one of them is not shy.
Sometimes someone has to make a call and if it's good in the eyes of management, you live to moderate another day. If you make a move that turns out to be one vehemently opposed, you lose your status and move on.
I am a total GG fanboi and never claimed to be otherwise but I have my little moderator cap on now when I request that any further debates over the edits be with held until Imeo returns. Like everyone else, I have an opinion but as noted, this is Imeo's contest so he will decide.
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and prayers offered up for his daughter. I am sure he will return as soon as he can!
