I STILL haven't gotten my order in. I'm getting confused on the kits so don't know if the black is a flat or shiny black.
It's a matter of preference as to how much you want to put into it.
If it's shiny take it to a car dealership.(Most $) They sell small bottles of touch up paint for cars. Just match it to one of the cars in the lot and ask for the car's make and model touch up paint. (I got a bottle to do a craft project and shopped around - Ford has the cheapest @ about $18-24 - you might find an auto body shop that is sympathetic and help you out for free since you don't need much paint)
DON'T USE AN OIL BASED PAINT - they're all highly flammable and fumey! If it's flat take it to an art supply store and try an acrylic (in a bottle NOT the tubes!!) and a smooth shining cloth both to apply and buff - very lightly. Art supply store reps are usually almost all artists so they could tell you more exact. The advantage of acrylics is they're non-toxic/non-flammable, like $2.00/bottle and are removable within the 1st 20 seconds w/ water and lemon dishsoap. The disadvantage is if you don't put a paint sealer over them, the paint will eventually chip and the sealers, I think, are all shiny.
I'd go with the Sharpie, personally. Those things can touch up anything and are just a couple dollars.
You might want to try matching any of them to the box first to get an idea of how the paint/markers texture would apply before putting it on your PV.
Does a longer battery mean longer battery life? I love the way my shorties hit, but ya can't go wrong with extra battery life!
Side note, my darned keys took some of the color off of my black shortie. Anyone know of a good solution to patching up those dings? Sharpie? Paint? SOL?
