I am also planing to start with a medium NIC amount and then gradually go down to 0. But I think it will be easier for me because I have already cut back on analog cigarettes and smoke only one or two a day. I really want to keep the ritual of it without any of the bad stuff.
I'm obviously a newbie but I've heard that coffee and chocolate flavors can be really 0 nic and have a lot of aroma?

I started with 0 nic cartos on a small battery and brought my smoking from 25/day to 10 - 15. When I started using 18mg I dropped to 1 -2 per day. When I got an eGo clone and my own juices (18 and 24) I never smoked again. As you can see, I slowly replaced the nicotine from smoking with nicotine from vaping. Now I reduce the nicotine as I feel comfortable, but it is all from vaping.

I agree with your point that 1 or 2 a day is a reduction of harm, however, continuing to smoke while not getting any nicotine from vaping seems likely, to me, to increase your smoking habit.

I LOVE coffee flavors, especially 'first morning', but prefer cherry over chocolate. That's what makes it so enjoyable. There are so many flavors that everyone can find some flavor (or 6) that they enjoy.

Enjoy and continue to share on the forum. I love to see different approaches, one size does not fit all!

A slow drop, over extended periods, has worked well for me. I smoked PAD for over 35 years, first 25 was camel straights, so I'm not in a huge rush to zero out the nicotine.

I stayed 24 mg for about 9 months. A month and a half after going to VV, and increasing consumption, I dropped to 20 mg/ml. Starting last August I began dropping a bit every couple weeks, was at 13 end of year. Now I'm using 12, just switching to 11 mg/ml.

Since I do like my stimulants, and I've kept my coffee consumption down (dropped a lot when I started vaping), I'll stay with what works. Probably won't bother going below 10 this year, though who knows :)

I'm planing to quit analog cigarettes completely as soon as my starter kit arrives. :)
I just think that since mu body is already getting used to a very small amount of nicotine, that low nic or 0 nic vaping will be ok and I won't need 24 or 18mg juices. What do you think?

Thanks for the advice!

As I See It (aka. not necessarily the way it is)

I agree 18 or 24 should not be necessary in your circumstances. The best solution I can think of, for flexibility of strength, would be to start with a 12mg, but also to have 0 nic and maybe a 24 in the same flavor or a flavor that can be added to most anything, Menthol, perhaps. That way you could increase or decrease the mg as you adjusted to the nicotine.

The trick for me (everybody?) was to find the amount of nicotine that satisfied me so that I wasn't in withdrawal. I suffered enough (as did those around me, lol) over the years at each attempt to quit. This is enjoyable and comfortable. If it doesn't feel good, I'm not gonna do it!

I started vaping at 24 mg, then I dropped it to 18 mg nicotine. All went well. I already use peppermint flavored e-juices...I just ordered warm sugar cookie and Ry4 from Kick Bass Vapors at 12 mg nic and VG/PG: 30/70 with extra flavor. Maybe the extra flavor will make up for the loss of th??? Hoping so ;) Different flavors than my norm so that maybe I won't be comparing and noticing a big difference from my normal fave vape...peppermint ice cream with a shot of candy cane pole from time to time.
Side note: Drinking more water and am noticing the dry burn in my mouth (peppery feel) is going away. YAY!
