Happy Sunday Deejsters & Deejsterettes!

ok computer gurus...I need help. Within the past week or so, I have noticed my computer not allowing me to log on to certain sites. I say computer, because it has happened with 3 or 4 different sites now, and i have talked to tech support with 2 of them, and they are stumped. Had me Clear out my cache and cookies, hit the reset button in advanced settings, reset my password...nada. For example, I tried to log in to one place to order some vaping gear, and as soon as I put in my email, it immediately told me it was an invalid email and gave me an example of a real email. Attempted a password reset, told me my email wasn't valid. Tried to log in to check my childrens Istep scores today, entered username and password...invalid. Put in my email to check the username was the right one, allowed me to do that, but still not log in. 30 minutes with tech support, still couldn't log in. WHAT IS GOING ON??? Anyone have any experience with this?
ETA: Ok, it just now let me log on to the Istep site after the tech logged on for me and reset my password herself to the temporary generic password I requested.
I haven't because I didn't know where to start. I have Kaspersky, do I still need to do that?Have you run some cleaners like MalwareBytes and SpyBot?

And go Deej go!!!!!
Eta.... Well.... I stand corrected. Went to another vape gear site, this time on my phone, and went to set up a new account... But it told me I needed a valid email, and gave me an example. Then I remembered that it has happened on my phone as well as my computer....and now I'm just super lost.
Lol i wish that were the problem..i did check and check and recheck to see if i was missing a letter or something. I too have done something like that. I use gmail, but on the istep site for example, it was a user name and password i was inputting, not my email. The tech even had me cut and paste them to be sure there were no errors.I occasionally forget to put the .gmail at the end of my address but I assume that's not the problem.
I'm definitely no expert but what company is your e-mail with? Something common like .gmail or .aol or is it something more obscure?
caught up in the Mixorium...
now to catch up with shipping...

Yikes! That reminds me, I need to place an order!
MalwareBytes and SpyBot are good things to run on occasion and get things that Kapersky won't. There are free versions of both that are quite robust.
As to your actual problem currently, if you're seeing the issue on your phone and on your computer, well I'm stumped. Maybe Trav'll come along real soon and have some ideas - he is a lot more knowledgeable than I in this area.![]()

Yeah leave it to me to have the exciting issues lol. I ran malware and removed a bunch of trackers, hopefully that fixed it!Howdy Clowder!

I was with you on the whole malware thing. But once the phone got involved any ideas I had went right out the window.
My next thought was maybe something going on with her email provider, but the site requiring a username pretty much nixed that.
