Free RPG game for PC. If you've got a Steam account (most gamers do) and link it to your Greeman Gaming (great deals on heavily discounted games) account, or create a new account, they'll give you a Steam code for a free game.

In a world of wizardry, wonder and untold mystery, you must undertake some of the most diverse quests to hone your skills in spell casting, weaponry and melee combat. Your martial skills are soon put to the test as demonic monsters descend upon Avencast, turning the academy into a state of chaos and destruction. Armed with countless combat moves and spells, and a vast arsenal of equipment you must uncover the source of this evil by vanquishing an onslaught of enemies. Looks decent enough, especially for free!

Not sure how it makes it any harder, but I'll go with option 2.

How is it any harder than if I were to delete another person's pick before you got to it?

Because I delete selections off of the spreadsheet from the bottom, up. I don't sit there and watch every pick, I'll go away for 5 minutes or so and when I come back, I will refresh the page and go to the most recent post and start removing from the spreadsheet. When I get to a pick that's not on the spreadsheet, I know I'm caught up. I do this because lots of times OP or someone else is also working the spreadsheet and with us going in two different directions, it's much faster and we're not chasing each other down the same list.

However, when you delete your selection, I'll come to that and see it's not on the spreadsheet and think that I'm caught up. But, I'm not, there's lots of other selections before yours that are still on the spreadsheet. So, when you (or anyone else) only deletes their selections, it makes it harder for others working the spreadsheet to know when they've caught up (regardless of which direction they're going).

Nope, there can be many people (and I've seen as many as 4 working on it together) as long as they are working in any one direction (or their choosing) and deleting items off the spreadsheet in some type of order. However, if someone pops in and just randomly starts removing individual selections, it causes problems because nobody will no where anyone left off.

I really didn't think it would be that hard to understand that.

As to what happens when we're not present, it happens all the time. Folks do their best to make selection until someone can arrive and get the spreadsheet caught up. Might be OP, might be me, might be You, might be someone else. But I would hope someone (that has access to the spreadsheet) wouldn't show up in that scenario and just delete their own pics and not anyone elses.

... I really didn't think it would be that hard to understand that. ...

Only thing I'm not understanding is the lack of adaptability. The biggest variable in any situation will more than likely be human behavior. As such, a process would usually require some level of adaptability or flexibility to avoid confusion.

In this case the variables are actually a known value (behavior), so the inability to adapt surprises me even more.

But fear not. As stated in my original post on the subject, I will no longer be adding to your confusion.

No, you're not understanding that it has nothing to do with adaptability. I have adapted to it every week cause you've been doing it for a long time (it's not that complicated or confusing), but it's time consuming, and we're talking about a game that can go very fast at times. I'm trying to work, get the game caught up, and play the game at the same time. When you only remove your pick, it actually takes LONGER for someone else (like me) that's working the sheet for the benefit of everyone in the game. The only thing I don't understand is why you do remove your pick? Why not just help get caught up while you're there? That's the one variable I really don't understand. I believe initially, folks that wanted to help were given access to the spreadsheet, but for many weeks now, you don't help. You hinder. That human behavior is what's confusing - but I adapted to it anyway.

I think I'm starting to see the problem here.

Not that your efforts aren't appreciated, but do you really think this is something that can and should be done while working?

I figured I was just doing my little part, while leaving the blank cell behind as an indication that it was taken care of. I would think having one less player's picks to worry about would be a time saver for most people. And you are, after all, the only one complaining about it.

I really can't believe this is still going. Twice now I've stated I won't be helping any more, I'm not sure what more you could want from this.
