...and that's why i go ahead and allow the beasties on the bed ;)

I just got my games winnings - Yay! a nice bright spot on a gloomy, chilly Monday :)

About the only place my cats aren't allowed is on the kitchen table. I keep a security cam in the kitchen aimed at the main entry to my apt. The one cat (oldest) seems to be pretty good at behaving, at least she's never been caught, But bad boy Rocky I've seen snooping around on the table while I'm in the back room.

It's funny because I can talk to him through the camera on my cell phone. He'll get right off the table only because he wants to see where my voice is coming from. But the camera's in an even more precarious location, so I don't like to entice him toward it.

The cam was originally set up for while I was working. My landlord used to like to pay visits while I was out. Since I now spend most of the time in the back, it now allows for me to take a quick look if I hear anything towards the front. Living on the first floor behind a bar there's always something going on. This way I don't have to scramble for robe, shoes / slippers, etc for every little disturbance.

My beastie naps. When I come home, unless the sound of me unlocking the door wakes her first, I find her coming out of her bed.

I lock her up unless I'm just running to the corner for 5 minutes because there's too much potential for harm on the rare occasions she falls off. (With Annabella, it was the frequent occasions she fell off.) Poeia refuses to believe that she can fly so she'd be stuck on the floor with the pens, wires, trashcans, etc. until I get home to pick her up.

Just installed my new router. My old one had been dropping the internet connection a little too often of late. Annoying but the last 2 times, when I turned it off, it didn't want to turn on again. On Wednesday night it took over an hour to get the power light back. I called on Thursday. It took a while to explain the the problem was definitely the power, not the connection but I got a new one for free for being "a loyal Verizon customer." (I know they charged me for the old one but I've been a Verizon customer since it was called "Bell Atlantic" when the original AT&T breakup happened. I earned a free one.)

Now I just have to get a new phone wire. The one they sent looks much more substantial than the old one but it's only 6' and I need 9'-10'.

HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more! - Monoprice.com is one of the best places I've found for cables, adapters, and other small incidentals. Definitely no-nonsense pricing for stuff like that.

I believe what you need is an RJ-11. Here's one for 65 cents. Phone Cable, RJ11 (6P4C), Straight - 14ft for data - Monoprice.com

I already PMed you with a more detailed question on the subject. :D

ETA: And I love Monoprice. When I was researching a TV, an article at CNET said they buy all their cables there.
