Thank you! :)

Absolutely. But until a few short days ago all deejStuff info (except the Flavor Games) was on a single thread in the Registered Suppliers forum. Now that Deej is a Forum Supplier, he has a whole little forum to wander through and post info about Stuff.

I was just reminding people to check the rest of Deej's forum-y contributions.

And, by the way, since it looks like you will be hanging with us,

Welcome to the Clowder

Grrr... Power's out here due to falling ice covered trees taking out power lines. Power company says it could be down til the weekend?!?!?!?

Using cell phone as a wifi hotspot to post this while my laptop battery is still alive.

I'm gonna go INSANE! :(

Oh No! I hope the power comes back sooner than the weekend.

It's that day already? Cool! I have a few minutes :)

Yay! I'm back among the civilized already!

Let's hope it lasts.

On the radio they were saying, the worst my electric company ever had it was like 540,000 homes & businesses without power. Not sure if it was Hurricane Sandy or the ice storms of 1994. I remember the 1994 incident, things got so bad I actually started to read books by candlelight to keep from going stir crazy. Was only like 4 days but it covered a weekend which made it worse.

During Sandy it lasted about 5 days, but they were all work days. Had all the power, internet, & anything else I needed at work, plus I used to set the alarms when I left so I could hang out if I wanted. Mostly just went home to shower, sleep, & take care of the 2 kitties.

THIS time they're saying it was like 750,000 homes and businesses. So I thought surely they're "by the weekend" prediction was being generous.

Fingers crossed...

Hey Clowderites,

I just cleaned out and filled a tank with some Creme Brulee ala Deej and it is tasty. So how about a mini review.

Creme Brulee ala Deej:

Creamy and "eggy". This juice is a nice delight. I have never had Creme Brulee or other Creme Brulee juices, so I have no base to go off of but this is what I would imagine a caramelize custard to taste like. On the inhale I get a vanilla custard flavor. It is both creamy and "eggy" like a good custard should be. When I say "eggy" it isn't an egg flavor but more of a texture or savory aspect to it. A thickness if you will. Both smooth with the cream and thick with the "egginess" it does almost feel like I am eating vanilla custard. On the exhale the smooth cream stays and has a nice sweet hint of what I think is caramel. The vanilla and "egginess" are not there for me on the exhale, which makes me want to take another vape. :) I like it a lot. For me it is a nice balance of smooth/sweet and thick/savory.

Sounds wonderful! Gonna hafta try this while the shiny thing is going on! :)

I am truly blessed! There's still like 480,000 residences & businesses without power this morning.

After hurricane Sandy, my neighborhood was one of the last with power restored. I guess this time it's my turn to be on the quick service list.

Funny how you appreciate so many things you previously took for granted, once you face the chance of doing without them.

My sister e-mailed at 8:13 PM that her power was out and her batteries were low so she was going to bed. At 3:16 am she emailed that the power was back. I don't think you're that far away, so it was probably the same outage.

The news of the storm included that Villanova was canceling classes because their power company had turned them off for several hours so maybe this was a controlled outage to prevent a blackout.

Mine went off around 10:30 to 11am and came back on around 5pm.

As far as being controlled, I had my suspicions in the beginning because it actually went off and came back on 3-4 times before finally staying off. Luckily had just enough time to finish making coffee & breakfast before it stayed off. So yeah I'm thinking it was a matter of self preservation after some testing took place.

It used to be great where I live now because we're right next to one of the original "Bell Tel" switch buildings. Our power would go off for less than a minute then switch over to some sort of emergency circuit. Kept the bar up front packed during extended outages being the only place in town that had power.

Apparently some time in the last few years we got taken off. :(
