And you haven't even tasted deejStuff yet. Imagine how enthusiastic you'll be in a few days.Share moment:
A coworkers client saw me vaping and had a chit chat about our adventures in trying to quit. I shared with him my experience here on the forum as well as ordering from deejstuff and wrote down the website for him. Sometimes all you need is a little positive reinforcement. I hope my word of mouth was a nudge in the right direction for him!
I always love these moments when I get to educate another person on vaping. Planting a seed of knowledge that can grow to strengthen another persons determination of quitting. Of course after you plant the seed it is up to them to either nurture it or let it fall to ruin.
I think that this determination is the most important factor in switching to vaping. It is still a change and people in general dislike change, especially changing a long term comfort like analogs. I think that people become more comfortable with change when they have the knowledge that helps them to strengthen that determination to the change.
In other words, that's awesome. I hope your knowledge helps him to quit.
And keep it up. The more people with knowledge of e-cigs, the less ignoramuses that we have that want to ban/smear them.

Call me an oddball, but I didn't need a whole lot of determination. To me vaping seemed like smoking, with cool gadgets, but cheaper. So I was more lured in than wanting to quit. Sure I knew in the back of my mind all my life that I should and need to quit, but for me the transition took little effort.
I knew that all I had to do was make sure my body craved for nothing. The devices took care of the oral / hand fixation. Having high enough nicotine levels took care of the addiction. I told myself that as long as I could be satisfied with that, I could have a new hobby and play with / learn about all kinds of new toys and gadgets.
It took a little experimentation at first, finding the right equipment that would produce vapor as thick and satisfying enough to replace cigarette smoke. But with a $350 / month cigarette budget to now throw at gear, it didn't take too long.
All the extra flavors was just the icing on the cake. Only thing I really had to learn to do without was lighting stuff on fire.
Edit: In fact with me being out of work and all, vaping is a godsend. If I still had the 1.5 pack a day habit, I'd really be hurting right now. Money's still tight, but if I was still smoking I'd surely be in some major negative numbers by now.
I want my cold to go away. First I couldn't taste the cheesecakes and fruit taffies. Then I couldn't taste the peppermint -- Poeia's MG and Chocolate Peppermint Taffy. And I just tried Caramel Macchiato and it's gone too.
I can't even vape my garbage flavors -- I got rid of everything I don't like. I'm just going to concentrate on my really old juices. So it's fruit taffy and tiramisu for me until I'm better. (My tiramisu was part of Deej's "premixed" experiment. It's so flavorful I'm sort of getting a hint of something on the exhale. Not enough to call it "flavor" but sort of close.)

(sheesh, you'd think they'd at least gone for beer that that was slightly more drinkable...)
