Um.... I honestly don't have the space/energy to run the game...
I'd postpone the game until tomorrow, but fear I'll still be deep behind...

For those of you who disagree with those shows' politics, you can fast forward through those parts. The only politics in the two interviews is in the discussion about House of Cards -- and that's anti-politician rather than left or right.

Hi from my WiFi. I haven't set up the Kindle yet but that will be a breeze. After the nice man helped me set up the network, I went to test it by unplugging the modem from the back of my Mac. It did not want to come out so I had to settle for unplugging that wire from the modem. But the interwebs are still working so I know I'm connected.

ETA: I forgot. I told him I needed to set up WiFi as I bought a tablet. Previously just had a desktop. After we got the network working, he said we'd set up the tablet. What type of tablet do I have. I said a Kindle Fire. "I thought you said you had a tablet."
Am I missing something? Isn't a Kindle a tablet that is primarily used for media? It has web & email functionality...

Kindles (especially the earlier ones) can be a little more "locked down" as far as what apps it can use and other functionality. As JJ said, it really depends on which model you have.
For example Android pretty much expects you to use "Google Play" as the primary source for your apps. They make it a little tricky, but not impossible to use Amazon's App Store. And I'd assume neither of the above can be used on an iPad, leaving you only with the Apple's app Store.
Some of the earlier Kindles were really geared toward just eBooks. And what models that did have any web type access would use a pretty crappy proprietary web browser.
Ideally you want to have the freedom to choose in order to have the most flexibility. You can always google or use youtube to see what workarounds might be available for your model.
Oh, and I love Amazon's "Free App of the Day". I check it every day. They offer one free full version of a paid app each day (vs the free, cut down ad-ridden trial versions). Though I could never have them all installed at once, I've got hundreds in my Amazon e-cloud that I can install any time.
You don't have to use them to "buy" them. You just click "Get it Now" and it sits in your "Amazon Digital Purchases" cloud until you're ready to install. You can also uninstall & reinstall as often as you like. Amazon also keeps them up to date whenever any updates come out for a particular app.
Be sure to read the reviews though, some are ridden with spyware.

I got a 7" Fire HDX. I was going to get a 8.9" Fire HD which was on a great sale (I assume it's being phased out for the HDX version) but it weighed twice as much, was probably bigger than I would comfortably hold and the kicker was that they didn't have it without the "special offers." (Thanks, if I'm giving you $200, I'll chip in another $15 to not see ads.)
I went for 32gb of memory because I do have a bunch of MP3s and MP4s that aren't Amazon's. (The MP3s are from the boxes of CDs I downloaded when I first got my iPod.)
Where does one find Amazon's Free App of the Day?
