Our normal high for now is 37 degrees. The last 2 days have been 23,today is to be 14 and tomorrow 16. No wonder this winter seems so darn long with temps 15-20+ below normal.

Rocky's older sister Emma has a loud deep purr as well. She purrs more than any cat I've ever known. If she even thinks you're going to pet her, the motor starts. I often hear her under the bed purring for no apparent reason.

One of the vet techs once told me she couldn't here her heartbeat because she was purring too loud. That's a total stranger holding her, in a strange place, full of strange animal smells, and she's just happy as a clam.

Rocky's got a nice motor, I'm hoping he uses it more often as he gets older.

We have a cat that purrs like a buzzsaw. You can hear him across the room.
