There are things I miss but it was my choice to move back South, mainly because of parents, and up there if you get hurt badly they fly you either to Anch or Seattle which is about 2.5-3 hrs either way. Didn't appreciate the tourists tho... not a businessperson so to me they were always a bother. Couldn't walk the dog without either being run off my path by a flock of them on bikes or having to stop for a photo op with my dog. I really miss the fresh seafood.

There are always positives and negatives, but being close to family and healthcare makes some sense. (I can't imaging asking a total stranger to pose for a photo-op. How rude.)

Howdy Clowder!

Don't know how many of you are familiar with Lindsey Stirling. Now she's pretty much an internet sensation. She started out covering heavy metal and hard core rock songs on her violin as kind of a spoof. Became known for being able to dance while playing the violin, something that's not very easy from what I understand.

She eventually started putting out her own original music which is neither heavy metal or hard rock. Using thrift store type costuming and some pretty basic special effects, she's been putting out some excellent videos over the past couple years. Example1 Example2 Somehow managing to combine the raw power of Dubstep with Orchestral violin. Actually sounds much better than it reads)

Most recently she actually landed a live tour of the US and Europe along with several TV appearances and now has a 2nd album coming out soon.

As she has grown so has the level of production for her videos. All I can say is, she's done it again.

Definitely worth a youtube search, too many favorites for me to list here. Sitting in with many new up and coming artists, and outstanding covers of many favorites.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Love her stuff, glad to see her continue to grow in popularity! Loved her "duet" with Pentatonix on the cover of "Radioactive"! :)

I also liked that one a lot!

Have you seen her "Oh come, Emanuel" with Kuha'o Case? Kuha'o is a 17 year old child prodigy pianist who's 100% self taught and blind. Their rendition is very powerful imo.

To anyone who might be offended, the video contains some Christian subtexts.

Gonna go watch that now. Just watched the ones she did with Peter Hollens (Skyrim, GOT, and Star Wars - so fun!).

ETA: Awesome too...just beautiful. Thanks for the links Trav!
