Have you tried not inhaling into your lungs, just into your mouth? Some people do well with that as a substitute, or even permanent solution. :)

Argh! I was answering, hit return and got a broken page.

I've never figured out how to not inhale. I inhaled and didn't cough with my very first cigarette. But what I'm doing seems to be working. I'm taking enough puffs to keep nicotine cravings at bay and I've only had one tiny coughing fit in the last 8 hours and that was after 3 puffs in a row.

By the time the worst of this spring allergy season is gone my throat should be better if I keep doing this and I can go back to real vaping.

Hiya Clowder!

Talk about unexpected, this morning I got a very pleasant surprise! In the mail was a card from the Visiting Vets, inside was a very nice, long, handwritten, personal message. It also had a translucent window decoration with a rainbow and the poem "Rainbow Bridge".

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

As if that weren't enough, there was also a check written to me for $25!

I'm blown away.

Are you getting settled in yet, Deej?

For the most part.

Still working on getting the house settled... it had been vacant while Witch was with me in AZ.

We lost a lot of business-related materiel that we're trying to replace as well. It's slowed us down a bit, which is why I've been telling folks we're running at around 60-70% capacity.

Still need to finish building out household network, too. But it's not a business requirement, so it's on hold.

We figure we've got about 3 more weeks before we can sit and just veg... :)

Has anyone heard from Spud since they had all that weather in Colorado?

Hope Spud is just busy...

Sorry to make anybody worry. Yesterday was my brothers wedding, so I have been doing that all of last week. Now that it is over, I get to relax and watch their dog while they are on their honeymoon. :)

Trav, sorry to hear about your loss. :(

Not terribly worried as you aren't a constant presence here these days, but you Coloradans did have some nasty weather.

Hope the wedding was lovely and that you like your new sister-in-law.

Ya the weather has been crazy here recently. The day before the wedding there were flash flood warnings so we didn't know what was going to happen for their outdoor ceremony. Luckily the weather held off for the day and the wedding was perfect. Also luckily my brother married a very nice women, so I couldn't be happier for him. :)
