Only a couple days to go Anna, how you gonna celebrate ?

4 more days, @ENAUD .

Yes, I'm counting. Heh.

Probably I will celebrate by staying home and being the master of my (household) domain! I will do what I want, when I want. LOL...

I get the laughing gas whenever I have dental work way back in my mouth. First, it works great. Second, it works great. Hahahaha.
I don't usually laugh. But, it really does mellow me out. Reminds me of something I can't discuss and which I haven't had since I was a teenager.
The gas is good stuff and does its job. My dentist pipes in music, and the damned stuff has been crap (for me) such as Billy Joel and similar. So, I said to them that I'll throw up on their shoes if they keep playing that. She said what do you like and I said some Pink Floyd or Led Zep. She got it going (Pandora or one of those) and between the Pink and the nitrous it was a fun time.

My son LOVED laughing gas as a kid. LOL, I know because I'd usually be there, (he asked) and he'd get this dreamy look and whatnot, and then start describing his hallucinations.

I encountered laughing gas-- ONCE. First, my dentist was a RINGER for that guy on twin peaks (he could have made more probably, as a whatever it's called) but yes, they laughing gassed me up in preparation to have my wisdom teeth removed, and I had this vivid and convincing sort of hallucination of my brain.. travelling down to my brain stem, to my heart, which was beating slower and slower.... I was pretty convinced if I allowed it to CONTINUE I'd die, so I ripped that mask off and SHRIEKED at the top of my lungs. LOL, they jammed that anesthesia in my arm as fast as possible but MAN it was horrid.

I have eschewed it ever since .Heh. It was not relaxing.

IDK about that, but it was probably for the best. At that time in my life if I'd enjoyed it, I'd probably have started seeking it out, LOL, and it's really BAD for your brain.

Also, I'm bipolar and I get paradoxical reactions to some drugs. Opiates don't make me sleepy they make me want to party and etc. There is a surprisingly unproportional number of bipolar folks in methadone programs, however (I worked in two) so I am not alone in that. Some of the other drugs are just booooring.

But nausea/fatigue/etc. NEVER had that, also the reason I don't plan on taking opiates any time soon. I have an alert bracelet in case I'm unconscious. I feel rather strongly about it. I also feel rather strongly about NOT finding the "ideal" dose of laughing gas for myself and it might have come in handy during my oral surgeries but I was like, "Nahhh… we can do this with prayer, mindfulness and that numbing stuff."

My oral surgeon was seriously impressed, as was my mom. SHE had a few dental 'experiences" where they didn't even have NOVACANE. LOL. I have MUCH gratitude for Novocain and almost wish it could be administered at home for the week following.

LOL, made do with Advil.
