I forgot the slugs!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kiddo thought they were "cute" and kept them in a terrarium until they all DIED. It was at that point I bought him one of those Amish playhouses, thinking he could keep some pets there! LOLOL.
So, I bought TOO many pets, and then another HOUSE for them.
Shinyitis worthy indeed. The husband can be a patient man. (I did not inform him about the playhouse, but the Husband said, "If a ferret enters this house, I am leaving it," and there was a ring of truth about that particular statement,) so I figured that if I got the playhouse delivered, the husband could figure out, you know, heating and cooling.
Now, I'm considering the house as more of a solution than a shiny purchase, although it was more expensive than all the other pets combined (except the slugs, they were, ah, free).
The husband did not leave, but he sure looked like he wanted to. Heh. That was a tense couple weeks.

doc told me today my liver is shot and I got the diabetes...so I cracked open a ice cold bottle of vodka and started chugginggotta live a little, right?!
DH is having a liver biopsy scheduled.

Been out of touch, traveling to Rome. This is the Porticus of Octavia. Obviously just a fragment of what it was 2000 years ago. 2000 years? Amazing or not? It's hard to make out the detail, but the brickwork and detailing that remain are astounding. I'd never heard of it. I went wandering off through the Jewish quarter (or ghetto as it was historically known) and stumbled on this site. This often happens in Rome, finding antiquity on everyday streets. And, except for inside planes, buses and trains, one can vape wherever one wants. Breath of fresh air, no pun intended.
