My son used uber a fair bit when like he did not have a license. I hated it.
I have an acquaintance (the type of acquaintance, frankly, that makes me hate and fear uber drivers) and he wound up with a passenger who had a rifle inside a trombone or some such instrument case. He was able to talk the kid down and take him to student services, etc., but it still made me skeezed.
LOL not that buses are all that much better at least in Tucson. Bus drivers were willing to strike for over a MONTH in Tucson a bit ago an YEAH they wanted more money, but their main demand was a security officer with a gun on every single bus.
They got their way. I understand parenting is stressful and all, but SOME parents were like, letting their 8 year olds take the bus, unaccompanied. I would not let my HUSBAND catch a Tucson bus, let alone my kid, and he has seriously HARMED or possibly killed people (he's not really sure, barfights, etc.).
Uber is the worst though. THEY DO NOT EVEN DO BACKGROUND CHECKS.
