If you are "dafawking" at my cavalier attitude toward my husband's uh, family, I am afraid that I am deeply, deeply attracted to Appalachia AND redheads, and that usually means a) breeding- you gotta hope your own genes are like, the WINNER, and also, you have to pick the oddly strange sort of THROW forward kind of mildly autistic, definitely traumatized, unbelieving of his surroundings and wanting to GET OUT ASAP. My first fiancé's family was WORSE, I met his dad when he drove us to ah, Champaign Urbana for the fiancé's like, summer internship and the driving, cursing and overall horror made me inform the fiancé that none of his family could come to the wedding or we'd elope. He lives in Germany now. I do not blame him. There were all these weird inbred cats at his house, he was definitely (I think) the victim of severe domestic violence (like the husband, but the husband was tougher) and well, like, it was just NOT GOOD. The hosue was UNFINSHED. Like you could see all the wires and insulation and stuff. They had been living like that for decades.

But first fiancé was like the valedictorian of his class, and made it to Swarthmore but I don't think I woulda risked kids.

The husband was also from PA Appalacia but that was more because his dad was from a "good" family but his dad died before he turned one and his mom (after hibernating for a year in a bedroom with his older sister and him like SERIOUSLY there would be plates shoved under the door and then shoved out, well she came out of THAT) and decided stripping would be a good career and not only that married a clientele.

I think it affected the husband less because the "clientele" was like the most VIOLENT man (physically and verbally) I have ever met. :He's not "nice" even now and he's like 90 something. LOL some of the stories....

The husband made the super wise choice to start smoking at age 8, and drinking at age 11 and was so ferociously violent that he got shoved with some martial artist who like taught him how to channel his rage so he didn't get imprisoned QUITE as long.

You know, I met him when I was new in AA (still married) and it was the weirdest thing he GLOWED only I was coming off my OWN first manic episode where like, I was like, "Anna you are sane now, no more cheating on the husband with his best friend and best friend's sibling" but eventually (you do that, get sober, demand your OWN husband get sober and stop like throwing chairs at you and well, he's a bit resentful) well you kinda end up divorced.

So me and the kiddo who is now back in my decency graces after the kid? Well the husband who also Immediately wanted to date me but discovered he had actually been counseling my husband to enter the AA meeting... Eventually we hooked up.

I mean, I don't get violent when I get manic but I have had had to learn not to cheat, and have successafully done that after the first one, plus don't forget I am a SW I have heard LOTS worse stories than that.

A little kid biting... It's NOT IDEAL. That is NOT what I am saying. Really. But if you had met this kid... He is BITABLE.

For a brief period, me and the husband were like, "Is the kid like this due to lack of socialization, or is he MR too?" I was like, "You know, we would have to offer to take him for a year to find out and I, for one, am willing to do it." THANK GOD he got some kid knocked up FIRST because I was NOT prepared to have SIL kid in the same house as my OWN kid, my own kid had it rough enough with his DAD.

I mean... If I were a biter ,I would bite this kid. Oddly enough SIL was a biter as a kid too. My sis was a spitter but she was not allowed to continue the behavior and hence, does not spit at her kids, but she is LETTING them PROTEST at BLM rallies so IDK.

MOST parents are a mess in at least an area or too, and if it has to be ORAL well BITIING is a LOT better than some OTHER options in the oral department.

I have tried to help that family but they are UNHELPABLE.

I got the autistic weird dude with the odd background and the IQ points to get out and 21 years of sobriety does NOT hurt either. LOL.

Oddly, my husband was like, just called by his sister. He is cranky. He said she wanted to know, "Every detail of what is going on." I said, "Did you tell her that especially the financial part is none of her business?" He went on this long rant about how like, he was worried his family "would want to see him." I deeply empathized and stated I would be more than happy to accuse my BIL of like "extended, surreptitious .........ion" at his sister's church if necessary. I mean, IDK if that would raise an eyebrow or anything, but it would be fun to go there with my whorish red hair and like be like, "JEZEBEL!!! No, I mean THAT GUY!!!" and well, there are probably kinder roads to go down than that, more like, "Look I'm sorry we don't like you. We pretend to enjoy your company but we are too old to be polite now. I am going to give you a Ms. Manner's book and an encyclopedia and when you can successfully demonstrate understanding you may return.

I am like SO glad I decided to turn down even INTERVIEWING for the Lebanon PA job, I mean don't get me wrong I LIKE hobbits but I want to make my own little hobbit family, but like, the husband is now a MESS.

I am gonna go clean stuff. He was sleeping too. I heard lots of yelling from the bedroom but I didn't think it was the sis.

He was like, "I can feel it coming.... the We can't wait to see you."

Very calmly, I said, "Honey, you just say "I'm sorry, I'm not giving you my address even. Where were you when I needed help? Who even came to family therapy at rehab? You have given me NO HELP over the years, not ONCE (they haven't, although to be fair they can barely cope with their own lives.) I CAN WAIT to see you, you are welcome to show up on my deathbed once my wife has successfully verified I am in a non reversible coma."

Lebanon is like 1.5 hours away though. That is about -5.00 hours too close.

I went for a ride yesterday,

The trail was flooded, so I took my shoes and socks off and waded across the water...it was over my knees, and rising. I almost tripped while stubbing my toe on a big turtle that was submerged, and when I crossed back, I tried a different line, but that bastid turtle had moved and I stubbed my other toe on its shell :-x almost fell into the murky muddy water...and the water was rising too...
