I bought an MVP 2.0 a couple weeks ago after reading great reviews, specifically about the battery life. I seem to have to charge it quite often and have kept
track of some things. For instance, today.

Battery fully charged 4.2v
using a single 1.6 oHm coil on an IGO-L
taking 4-5 second puffs
puff counter 280

Towards the end before it drops to 3.7 it doesn't vape the same at all, hardly getting anything off of it. Does this sound defective?

On 1.5 coils at 9.5-11.5 watts, mine's good for around 600 hits before it goes orange at 3.7 volts. In another 150 or so, it'll be into the red. I charge when it's at 3.5, usually 800 hits and change, but I've taken it into the 900's with no noticeable degrade in performance. Takes about 6 hours to charge when I do that, so I prefer to charge a bit sooner.

I generally take long 5+ second draws.

If the battery meter is anything like my SVD, it's very conservative. For example, when the SVD's meter hits 3.5, my D2 shows battery voltage as 3.67. That's a big discrepancy.

My MVP 2 never reads 'V 4.2'. On full charge it reads 4.1.

Yours definitely sounds defective, but consider this...Seems like the MVP drops off pretty fast from full charge to around 3.8, but then hangs in there for quite awhile down to 3.5. It's just an observation...I don't know if it's valid (that is, batteries draining faster from full charge down to a certain point, then draining slower), but you might try vaping your MVP till it auto-shuts off, see how many hits you get out of it.

Yes, I'm fully charging it until the light shuts off. Hmm, very interesting Jambi, mine doesn't fire much longer after 3.7, got maybe 30 more draws off. The place I bought it from isn't authorized so I can't get a replacement, however they replied to my e-mail and agreed that it sounded defective and would replace it anyways. Phew :)
So yeah I'll just replace it and in the meantime buy an eleaf istick.

Thanks for the input.

I usually keep mine at 11 watts, all the time. I can generally go a day or two between charges.

Yeah, that's what I've heard and why I bought one in the first place.

Definitely defective. Bummer, but great that they'll replace it. :)

Very good. Luckily I bought it from a great shop that goes out of their way for customers. Just ordered an eleaf istick, lemo drop and some other stuff from them to
keep me vaping until I return it.

Sorry you got a dud... Ive had my MVP2.0 for almost a yr with no issues so unually they're bulletproof

Yeah I read a million reviews before deciding on it, even with people saying "get the istick" I figured I'd go with something tried and true. Oh well, now I'll have both!
Can't really go wrong there.
