Hello all,

Total noob. I bought a 901 with the 5-cart sample (No, Low, Medium, high) and a Johnson Creek sampler in Medium (18mg). I have to admit all day yesterday I was busy alternating between the No cart and analogues, trying to get the feel for it and get used to it. I smoke 2pk a day of Marlboro Ultra-Light 100s normally.

So, this morning I woke up. No analog. Loaded up my freshly charged 901 with a Low cart. Sat down with my coffee. Pulled a quick primer puff, and then a long draw to get a nice cloud of vapor. Holy Head-rush Batman! I was actually dizzy from that first puff. Seriously dizzy. Much more than from a normal analog. Throughout this morning, I've been trying different volumes of vapor at various intervals to try and get used to it, but it's almost scary how hard it hits.

Does everyone else have this effect? How frequently do you take a pull? Do you pull several times in a few minutes like you do an analog or just once every once in a while? Is it possible to vape too much from a safety perspective (nicotine)?

Coffee will do that to you.

My general rule of thumb is if I get a headache - I've had just a bit too much nic...

I smoked 1/2 pack/day ultra lights, and started out with the low nic liquid. At first, I would take a couple of primer puffs, let the vape dribble out of my mouth, then when I was ready to inhale, took a smallish puff, let some of it dribble, and inhaled the rest with some air. This diminished both the throat hit and the nic hit in the bloodstream.

I took me about a week to acclimate to the harsher vape. If you're using a higher strength liquid, I suggest cutting it down with some PG or VG - see the DIY section of the forum for ideas on how to mix and/or cut your own.

To me, if you want to vape more, use lower strength and then spike it with higher here and there when you feel you need it. I like to stay on a few spikes of medium in the morning and then I dillute that all day and especially into the evening or else I'm jacked and can't sleep. I find the weaker it is, the more I can vape, and the stronger it is, the less I'll vape. Your body does tell ya.

My first post was very similar to yours. I took 4 hits off a low nic 6 mg cart and had a major buzz for 4+ hours. It freaked me out so much that I didn't try it again for 3 days and now I have not vaped for almost a week. I need to order some of the zero nic, as I have read in numerous places that all nic is out of your system in 48 hours - well for me it's been more than 100+ but I want to have some on hand as a backup for when I have a weak moment.

BTW - I also smoked Ultra Lights 100's (marlboro) for 23 years at a pack a day. For some reason, vaping was way more intense. Try the zero nic, maybe you are like me and don't really need the nic to quit....:)
