I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now (finally decided to register and start posting). I've noticed a lot of people referring to "PAD" which I eventually worked out meant "pack a day" when talking about smoking cigarettes. Just curious... in Australia, a pack of cigarettes can contain anything from 20 to 50 smokes. Is this the same in other parts of the world or do some countries only sell, say, packs of 30 cigarettes?

Just wondering. It would make working out how heavy a smoker somebody was a lot easier. I was a PAD smoker, but the pack contained 40 cigarettes.

It seems we use many acronyms on this forum, and I had to decipher a few myself! That includes giving initials for telling someone to "try AVE juice" What the heck is AVE? I finally figured out it meant alien Visions! Give us noobs a break, PLEASE!

Here in the USA, a pack consists of 20 fags per pack. There was on brand that sold a pack of 25, but that's unusual!
