Dekang is doing a major survey to get e-cigs legalized.

Electronic cigarette survey (page 1)

Jean-Francois Etter, PhD
Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, Switzerland

I would be happy to participate in research, however after first using the ecig recently I transformed from a pack & 1/2 per day smoker with no plans to quit, to about 2 cigarettes a day and believe quitting is possible ... there seems no way to indicate this in the questionnaire so I figure I would just mess up the data.

What could this be? I searched Dekang and found their site. I click on the "Dekang logo" link
and get Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!

The analysis says they've been used to distribute malware as recently as 11 March but that they've not hosted it. Meaning they're not doing it but their site security isn't up to par and crackers are getting in and using their site to try to infect folks who visit.

Isn't necessarily a reflection on them as a company but, rather, they need a better IT department.

(And, yeah, I'm a computer geekoid nerdy type that's been around much longer than I care to admit as in, I remember when Apple was a single board computer built in a garage. :) )

Oh, meaning, unless you know very well how to protect yourself, stay clear of the site. Being the geek I am, I'm double fire walled and have things locked down like a vault. I did go to the site and couldn't find anything immediately wrong but that could mean they've dealt with the last infection already. Problem is, Google has found repeated infections over time. So you don't know when the next one will come along.

translation - chinese juice = crap. take the hint :)

To each his own.... I, (and quite a few others), have been happily vaping DeKang liquid for 2 years now.... It amazes me at what some USA vendors try to pass off as a quality liquid.... I might suggest as someone already pointed out how ignorant a comment this is.... I could see if it came from a veteran, but a NOOB.... please....

Greetz astounded ...

I have nothing to do with this survey, just noticed it was up on the Dekang site. Europe has also been trying to ban e-ciging.

It was a good idea to post about the study - a pity the study design misses "recent converts" but I'm sure there are lots of others on here who also see the value of encouraging reasearch

I see you're in Vancouver too - Hi!!!

I surfed the site ... a malware and A/V scan found my machine clean.

They may have caught it and cleaned it up already. Google's last scan was 11 Mar. Google says:

"Part of this site was listed for suspicious activity 2 time(s) over the past 90 days."

And:

"Of the 26 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 5 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2013-03-11, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2013-03-11.

"Malicious software includes 2 trojan(s), 2 exploit(s)."

But:

"No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days."

So they're getting cracked now and again and having malicious crap injected on their site. Not doing it themselves.

Definitely a "proceed with caution" case though there's no evidence at all Dekang is responsible for the malware. Just maybe they need to tighten up their security...
