I have a provari and love it but agree with the earlier poster that the buzzpro looks like a good unit at a more reasonable price ($139) Buzz Pro

In the long run (like 2 months!) it will save you money. Variable volt with replaceable batteries is the way to go, imo. I have alot of PVs that I wish I hadn't bought.

The "VV" Ego looks like junk to me. Notcigs has a good reputation from what I hear.

I'm going to second (third? fourth?) not spending into three figures unless you intend to try out a variable voltage device. You can get really excellent 3.7v devices that are very affordable and will ease you into the world of vaping. I really like my E-Power--it doesn't use proprietary batteries, so if something happens to one you can replace it for less than $10. Spend the $100 you'll save on trying juices and a few different kind of cartos/atty's. Juices and a no-hassle PV are the real key to loving your vape at the beginning IMO.

Starting out with a Riva or an eGO would leave you with over $50 left over to try out juices and buy extra atties or cartomizers. See if it suits you, then jump to the mod you really want as the cigarette savings start piling up.

Im with him...better to start with an ego or something. Mods are deep ocean....better to start simple, save money, but have options.

If you want to stay around $100 and are even considering going VV which I would HIGHLY recommend, the Infinity Pro is going to be released soon and would be an excellent choice and the price on it should be right at $100. The Buzz Pro has recently been released but will push you over a bit at $139. When you get your 5 post you can get more information on both in the Notcigs forum in the bottom section of the main page.

If you don't mind going with a box mod the army tank is available for < $100 and has both vv and a juice feeder.

I hate internet explorer. I got an email response from Provape asking that I try a different browser. I got home looked it up in Firefox, and, voila! The order was there processing.
I don't know much about vaping, but the Provape seems like a reasonable deal. The unit, 2 batteries, the charger, 5 cartomizers, and some sample juice for 129.00 shipped. It's not variable, but right now, messing with something like that isn't what I'm looking for. And it has a lifetime warranty. I did order 3 5ml samples as well. The english toffee, coffee and cream, and raspberry cheesecake.

If you want to stay in kit form with the fat batts the Riva Kit is hard to beat.

Whats the difference between the infinity and the buzz?

Functionally, not much.

Both are VV with a thumbwheel voltage adjustment (3.3 to 5.5VDC, 15W max output); the Buzz is a workhorse, short and squat compared to the Infinity, with longer battery life and a much larger spill cup:

The Infinity is more of a night-out-on-the-town affair:

Either would serve you well.

Get a KR808D-1 from myvaporstore.com. That'll do ya right. That's what I have but the 510 is approx. the same price and more sites offer replaceable parts for the 510. Remember NO juice is gonna taste like an analog but you'll be glad of that after a little while. Pipe tobacco flavors work for me though.

I used to feel that way. I'm not at all so sure anymore.

Sure, one should ascertain cheaply as to whether or not vaping is going to work for you before investing heavily--but you can do that by plunking down the $6.99 that disposables go for at Chevron Mini-Marts.

The book on newbie recommendations has been 510 or KR808, because there's a learning curve. I respectfully submit that the only thing to be "learned" about using a mod is which end to insert the batteries. I don't see that as overwhelming to even the greenest noob.

Beyond that is the voyage of discovery--which juice, which carto--and which voltage. All are matters a newbie faces, regardless of the cost or capabilities of the PV they're using.

I went the usual gradual-progression route. In the so doing, I accumulated a series of devices. In all cases, each were operated by pushing a button and inhaling. The only difference of consequence between all of them was their voltage output.

Had I pulled the trigger on a VV device from the beginning, I'd have dialed in the vaping experience I was lookIng for from the outset, without accumulating a boneyard of fixed-voltage PVs at very noticeable expense, all of which now collect dust.

Depending on disposable income, I still think kr808 or riva 510 make a sensible start, a lower entry price. Get a kit, make the initial transition to vaping.

Month two just eliquid, save some $.

Month three pop for a good vv, keep your old gear for backup.

Infinity was a game changer in terms of a rock solid, high performance, vv, with an easy to use wheel adjustment. At about $120 with two pairs of batts and charger it is within reach of a wide audience.

With the pro series, buzz has kicked it up a notch, with a higher performance voltage regulator, even longer battery life (my original infinity already ran all day on a single set of batteries, 6 ml of eliquid every day).

I picked up a buzz pro to use along with my infinity. buzz pro is about
$40 more than the infinity pro will cost, but I wanted to try the shorter, thicker buzz format. The infinity has had no failures in the last six months, taken buckets of abuse, so my hardware replacement kitty easily covered the buzz.

I still keep one 808 auto xl, for hands free use or taking on small boats. Other than those cases, the infinity and buzz are all day, every day, mods :)
