The thing is, you don't have "rights" on this forum. Posting here is a "privilege" . See Rule #13:
Freedom of speech
Your contribution to this forum is not a right but a privilege. As this is a private website there is no public right to freedom of speech. The rules we have in place are to protect the site, and to provide a convivial environment for our Members. In short: we decide what is permissible or not permissible.

Ah ok. Thanks for bringing that up. I can live with that.

I wondered as well why this Canadian forum would be in english only while Canada was a bilingual country, but with the explanation given - about the mods having problems regulating french posts - is fair and pertinent.
Yeah they need to be able to do their job correctly so...we must follow the english path!

Also, to think that Canada is a bilingual country is ridiculous. Not trying to steer up some .... or anything here, but the rest of canada hates the hell out of our language, a language that is, let's be honest, not widly used in the world anymore (very tempted to say "a thing of the past"...). It's cool we're still speaking french and such, but without English? wow, we'd be dead and burried. They call it evolution.

It's a slippery path you're heading down! Even though I understand the idea you're trying to share, I woudn't dare get into this sensible subject. Of course I don't see a problem with discussing important political situations like the state of the french language in America... but I, for my part, just don't think a e-cig forum is the place to do that ;)

Where are you from in Quebec, keeper? I'm from Montreal.

Wow,

My post wasnt meant to infuriate people, it was meant to ease access to the forums to people that don't do well in english. Some of those people are people I know IRL, that would love to use this ressource but don't because they can't understand a word of english. And as it was mentionned in previous posts, there are section where its "ok" to speak french but they are dead sections of the forums. Anyhow seeing how this website is active and gains so much new members everyday, I can totally understand the lack of desire of the Staff to want to support another langage. That being said, its just sad that some people are missing out on the amazing quantity of information you can find here.

+1

I just started vaping and many people asked me a bunch of questions. Since I'm bilingual I have no problem finding answers, for my own questions or others', but I don't want to have to hold their hands and explain everything to them. I mean.. I love helping and all but.. I have a life. I don't want to be the only ressource they have and/or can rely on.

And how would the "new" section be incorporated?
Would there be a "Canadian - English" and "Canadian - French" sections?
Labeling it "Québec" section could be misleading as there are french canadians outside of Québec.

Ah .. the two solitudes! Bunch of political micmac. We all poop, we all sleep, we all vape!
But yeah... how would it all work?

Well,

I'm not a veteran yet but will be turning this month, and im already a moderator on a huge forum which I wont name here because its totally unrelated to the vaping world. So since I opened that can of worms, maybe i should apply for the position.

I would prefer if there where more than one applicant tho lol, because I dont want to be "self-appointed".

Anyhow i think that's a good idea for those people that don't understand/speak english.

I'm almost certain that the mods will retort that there already is a French language section on the board and that the fact that it's not populated is an indication that a Canadian French section would suffer the same fate, or an excuse for the French speaking folks to start posting in there :)

This would be sad, since not only we don't share the same issues, the same products, the same relations with the same vendors etc. but we also don't share the same "language", in my "câlisse" d'opinion ;)

EDIT: BUT WE DO LOVE YOU, COUSINS FROM FRANCE! (especially hot french women!)
