first off, i'd want performance like my provari....same vape every time i hit the button....in addition to this, i'd want a mechanical switch (no amp limit) variable wattage, bottom feed capable, and a 5000 mAh passthrough battery, that fit in the palm of my hand....being that this entire idea is a pipedream and impossibility because of all the features...... your move silicon valley.

by the way, welcome to ECF.

no, the fact that it has a mechanical switch yet is also variable wattage is an impossibility, as circuitry =/= mechanical...while i understand a comperable unit could be built like a kicked reo-style mod, the 5k milliamp hours on a passthrough shoots the whole thing dead......but, we shall see once the DNA20 board is released, perhaps we'll see some triple coil atomizers afterall

I'd want something that performs like the Darwin, but with a touch sensor VV regulator instead of the scroll wheel. Also, it would be a tube (mod?) instead, and I'd want it to be as thin, light and short as possible (to fit in my hand) - and maybe in a crazy pink colour? :p

Btw, apart from the colour, the Wizard's Apprentice by Mark Bugs seems to grant many of my wishes :)

Will I enjoy fancy gear, my standards are low for the "perfect" e-cig -- it's anything that makes sure I don't buy a tobacco cigarette ever again.

Not me, I keep smoking regular cigarettes (though a lot less of them) because:

a) my batteries are dead (frequent)
b) no more cartomizers (rare)
c) e-cig is unsatisfying (semi-frequent)

I'd vote for Apple building one into an iPhone with apps for different flavors etc.... :)

Has any e-cig company done anything remotely like this? I know they don't do it like you've described but does anybody have any kind of link between the e-cig and your phone/apps etc maybe for charging or battery life or ordering or...?

My dream e cig, is almost complete.
BUT, what my e cig would be if it was my absolute dream e cig, it would have battery life that kicks the crap out of the competition, a drip tip that is perfectly shaped, and easy to clean, and a DCT that the cartomizers lasted a long time, and were easier to prime. Also I would want it to have a percentage of battery on the side, just so I know how much time I have left before I kill it!

I went thru the same thing when I first started E-cigs, Wilfra...
These are simple solutions

a) Buy more, or larger batteries.... it didn't take me long to figure out that with my fiendish habit, those little analog look-alikes just didn't last long enough for the next one to recharge... (I was averaging between 45 min. to 1 hr. on batteries the salesperson thought should last at leas 4 hrs) I know I'm a fiend, but the problem was that it took 2 - 3 hrs for the batteries to recharge, so I'd have "down time", and, inevitably, reach for an analog because my equipment couldn't keep up.

b) convert to a tank style system- Those carto's are barely cheaper than analogs, if at all. One of the issues I had when I first started vaping was that I could actually buy my cigs cheaper than I could the supposed equivalent in carto's. Another was the limited availability of carto's at retailers in this area

c) this goes along with "b)".... buy e-liquid... with as many flavors as you could ever ask for, it's just a matter of a little trial and error to find one that satisfies you. A lot of people try the cheap disposable e-cigs first, and decide they don't like it, or it isn't satisfying enough, so they continue smoking.... You never truly enjoy vaping until you have enjoyed the CLEAN taste of e-liquid versus the burnt, nutty taste so common with pre-filled cartomizers...

Just my 2 bits.... you may have already done these things, I don't know. They worked for me, and made a believer out of me.

I haven't seen anything on the app side, but there are a few box mods that also serve as USB phone chargers.

Diamond encrusted 24ct gold version that only costs the same as a normal one... no?
Maybe just a more feminine option then :)
