Hi all, bought an ipv D2 mod with Subtank Mini off a fella yesterday. Having a ....load of problems with it right now.

Got a message saying low battery, went to charge it and the battery bar showed it about 80% full. Tried to fire it, got a message saying check bat. Fixed up a new coil, changed cotton, and kept getting a check bat message. Thinking coil might be fixed wrongly, fixed a few new coil and right now the message keep giving me low battery.

Using Samsung ICRI 18650 Battery.

Really appreciate any quick help here. totally felt like my money got thrown down the drain.

Try cleaning the mod and battery contacts with a pencil eraser and while you are at it, clean the 510 connection as well.

Edit: just noticed you are using the ICRI battery which only holds a charge of 3.7 volts. A battery upgrade is needed to something that will charge to 4.2 v. The Samsung 25R would be a good place to go.

Have cleaned as advised, still can't fire. Error message now shows check bat
I'm using 17W, 0.42ohm and 2.67V

is a battery upgrade able to fix this proble?

I was going to say its the battery due to the ipv d2 not having step down in power mode, thinking it was an ICR battery.

My first step would be to try a new battery.

Actually, do you have a vape shop nearby? Take it there so you can try someone else's atty on it. And likewise try your atty on someone else's mod. And try another battery. That would help with the problem solving. You can do it yourself of course if you have another mod, atty and battery.

You may also try charging the battery to 100% and see if that helps.

Tried charging to 100%. Right now its really weird. No more red light which means its full charge, then i plug in my tank, and it instantly becomes low battery and just auto shut off.

Charge again till red light is gone, plug in again, same problem.

When tank is inserted, it just boot up and then auto off.

Theres no vape shop in my country. I would have to find a new battery i guess.

If I'm right, my IPV D2 and Sigelei 150 stop firing at around 3.5v on the battery. If what others are saying about the battery you're using is true, and it only goes up to 3.7v, it could be the battery isn't strong enough. I like to use Samsung 25Rs (All though I've read there's a newer, better version or something) and Sony VTC4s and 5s, the Sonys being my preferred battery. I get mine from Illumination Supply, great store and you get a free battery case if you buy 2 batteries.

If there's any chance you can try one from your friends or someone at a vape shop I'd try that and see if it fires. The Samsung 25r is a baby blue battery and the VTC4 and 5s are green. The Sony VTCs have counterfeits out there, so I'd recommend buying from a trusted vendor.

Good luck!

Hi all, going out to get a new battery now before heading to my friend's place to test it out if it fires. It's a little hard to get these batteries at my country, vape is almost non-existent here. I know of a guy that sells the following batteries, which one should i get?

1) Rechargable 18650P Lithium Ion 3400 - Klarus (Panasonic Japan)
Capacity: 3400mah (High Cap)
Voltage: 3.7 volts

2) Rechargeable 18650 IMR 3000 Lithium MN - CGI
Capacity: 3000mah (High Cap)
Voltage: 3.7 volts

If non of these 2 are recomended, i'll try and order in the batteries from overseas...

Sounds like you need to upgrade the 18650/,battery.

Some 18650s are seriously under powered. You want batteries that are high drain.

I use Samsung25r batteries. Sony and s few others makes good batteries for vaping.

The Samsung ICR batteries charge to 4.2v, but they are not high drain / do not have the amperage to properly power a mid to high power device.
ICR should not be used for vaping purposes.

The Samsung INR 18650 are high drain and the correct chemistry/hybrid.

You must use a battery that has a suffeciant amp rate/CDR for your power device to function correctly.

Hi all,

I guess my problem is the battery. Went over to test out the different parts with another of my friend's parts today.

My mod + My battery + Her tank = failed
My mod + Her battery + Her tank = fired
My mod + Her battery + My tank = fired
Her mod + Her battery + My tank = fired

Well. I'll prolly get a LG H2 or 25R off the net. Walked for 6hours and couldnt find a shop that have these batteries

Good, I'm glad its the battery and not the mod.

If the 2 you posted earlier are all you can get, the IMR battery would be better. You still may not be able to run high power like the full 75W, but those will hopefully work out.
