"Diacetyl"

I recently found out that some juice vendors have this stuff called "Diacetyl" in their juices and that it can be fatal if inhaled into the lungs. I never heard about this before and kinda freaked me out...do I need to check with my vendors if they have this in their juice or is this something that is very rare? Wow kinda scary here...

AACK! A fatal lung disease? I'm trying to get away from fatal lung diseases, thank you!

How can I know if Diacetyl is in the juice? Is this an ingredient they have to list on the lable? Or is it a subcomponent?
