Hi all,

Hoping the brains trust can help me...

I am thinking about a new mod. I currently have a Provari P3 and Radius, I love them both. I have been toying with the idea of the new Procyon, but am really intrigued by the Dicodes offerings and happy to expand my horizons ;-)

Moving to a device that has a bit more grunt and temperature control is new waters for me.

I like the look of the Dicodes 6 but don't know if the Dani box has superseded the 6.

I do also like their tube mods... so as you can see I am a little uncertain of what direction to take , or where I actually want to go :D so I would love to hear some differing opinions.

Many thanks :)

I got them all and love them all.
The No6 and Dani box are exactly the same in specs, the No6 just takes the bigger 26650 and has a bigger screen. So it's about preference in size and battery life.

The tubes also have the same options (at least the newer Dani V2+), they only just go up to 40w instead of 60w.
I do prefer the boxes over the tubes, but that's just because I am more of a box guy. They are still very good and I do think they are the best tubes on the market right now, only wished they made the button a tad larger.

If any specific questions let me know!

I like the look of the No 6 more than the Dani box to be honest, it looks like it would feel good in the hand? How do you like yours? The only other one I was also looking at is the SX min Q-Class by YiHi do you have any thoughts on how they would compare?

The No6 fits perfect in the hand! No worries there.
I don't own a Q class, but I do own a M class and the Ystick with the sx350 v2 chip in there (which has the same functionality as the 450 in the Q class I believe).
The Yihi has of course more power and battery life with 2*18650, but it's freaking HUGE (over 100mm tall!)! Way to huge for me.
The No6 is I guess the largest mod I own, I like that it's not so tall, I do like the size of the Dani box better though, but I'm a small mod guy ;-) Both take up to 24mm atties without overhang.

The only feature I miss that the Yihi has and the Dicodes does not is the memory slots. Otherwise they both have their own very large array of features so both can tune in the vape you like very nicely. (and I like the Dicodes does not need software).
What I miss on the Yihi devices that the Dicodes has is the options to adjust your mod settings like battery cut-of, number of clicks it takes to do stuff, etc. etc. It's highly customizable that way.

They are quite different mods, and I would always choose the Dicodes, for it's size (compared to the Yihi), it's looks and it's quality. It's wins big time in the looks department.
I would only choose the Q class over it if I was a high wattage vaper, but I am not, so easy choice for me :)

Thats great - very helpful indeed. I haven't been a high wattage vaper myself as you would probably imagine from my Provari duo. I think the No 6 really might fit and be what I will go for. Thanks again for your thorough and helpful responses. I will sleep on it tonight as its midnight here :D

I can only comment to what I've used @Frenchfry1942
I went from a P3 to an IPV3li and and SXmini 350j M class
I really like the YiHi 350j boards - 5 350j Boxer mods and a 350j Renegade X
I bought about a dozen replacement 350j boards for the Boxers
I used my M class for a while but I was vaping at 70W-80W and a single battery mod just couldn't do it.
I've had good luck with my RX200 & RX200s. They can take a beating.
If you're using 50W or less than a used SXmini S, M or ML would be a good bet.

Now I'm using TC @ 410F or 45W in VW so I hope I can get a decent battery life out of a single. The Frost Mods I have coming are high-end stab wood so they'll only leave the house for vapemeets and such. I'll be OK if I get a few hours out of a single 18650.

I sold my Provari P3 and Radius after getting my first Dicodes, I now have 4 Dicodes (2 stock models and 2 high-end customs ), no Provaris. The only bummer with the dicodes is the lack of stored settings.

FWIW - I was a fan of Provape, so not knocking their devices. I just think that the Dicodes is a better device for me.

Do they seem to be high quality and long lasting? How are the boards? Does it provide as smooth a vape as the p3?

It kind of worried me that dicodes only gives a two year warranty..with the price tag, I was wondering why they didn't give a longer warranty period...

(I find it doubtful that the warranty will stop me from buying one when I can afford to, but I was curious about that)

2 year warranty is twice that of Provape from memory. Customer service is just as good. Not sure any other boards do 2 years - happy to be corrected though.

The vape is smooth for sure. I don't often vape 1.8ohm low or super low wattage these days. I vape mainly 0.8 to 1.2 with RTAs on regulated devices. So I am more in the 16 - 25 watts depending on the juice and atty.

In my opinion Dicodes is the prefect device for people who want like Provape but want something more advanced . On the tubes you still have the ability to simply scroll up and down wattage in a far easier manner than the P3.

Cool.. as far as provari, they offered an extended warranty which covered two years, but they covered all aspects of the device and not just the electronic components, which is what makes the dicodes seem like a lesser warranty to me.. (I assume things like the fire button is not an electronic component)

But that's cool. :) very happy to know that.
