the earthquake at approx 1:47 P.M. today? I did! My wife thought I was nuts when I called her over to look at the stuff on the shelf rocking back and forth.

Its weird you posted this...we had one here in new york at that same time!!not all of new york I don't think but in certain areas...wow thats just crazy!!!!!
I checked an international earthquake reporting site when it happened and found out that Southern California had an earthquake about 9 hours earlier.

I think the epicenter was somewhere in Ontario (near Ottawa) so NY would prob feel something too.
Pretty rare for these parts. I remember one happening in MI about 15 years ago. Only time I've ever felt an earthquake.
My daughter called to see if I felt it too, nope. She works in fort meade Maryland and said their building swayed.. I haven't seen anything on news here about it though, but she said she wasn't the only one who felt it so gotta believe her.. that is a long way from canada.
We had one from Toranto to Pa today at around 2 pm.

This is my second in MI, had one out in California, '79, I believe.
We felt it here (well I didn't) in Plattsburgh, NY. Half the city felt it and the other half didn't feel it. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience it.
