I did read that juul is working on a new version that will come with an App.
All the usual puff count type stuff, but also a lock out that prevents it from firing if your finger print doesn't match. More "progress" to keep under aged people from using it.

Smells like BS acrobatics to try and get around the ugly truth. The problem is protonated nicotine and how very very little we know about it. It worries me that they didn’t simply go the easy route and show with real science that protonated nicotine wasn’t dangerous but are trying a totally non biological route.
