So, out of boredom, I created an atomizer out of my old DID clone.
I basically removed the center tube and the chrome tank altogether.
Then, using epoxy and stainless steel dowels, drilled through the top deck piece and the bottom deck (the part with the 510 connector on it) twice - once through the fill hole all the way through and once through the wick hole, all the way through.
Then, I used two part epoxy and put some in the fill hole and wick hole and on the bottom of the top deck and pressed them together.
Then, I jammed tight fitting stainless steel, hardened rods through both holes and pieces and cut them off flush, permanently joining them.
Now I had a 510 connection with a top deck that will take the did top cap.
Pretty simple, and it works great. Whats better is it's so *short*.
The pics are horrific and the batt died amid the picture taking but you get the idea.
If you look closely, you can see the o-rings that would normally be behind the chrome tank.
I have some brass wire that I'm thinking about wrapping in the o-ring grooves.
