I was at work today, and got to thinking about the atty. Sometimes I have to get on my knees to do stuff at work, and it occurred to me. I bet I know what happened to the atty. I didn't have the trigger lock on, and I bet I burned the atty that way.

I am trying be more careful now. I always twist to lock now. But it can be a bit of a hassle. I suppose I will get used to it.

Thanks to all who helped. I am learning a lot, and I am really enjoying the Reo!

I doubt that is the issue. I am a logger and have carried my Grand for many months through circumstances that you couldn't even imagine and I have never once placed the lock on. It would never even occur to me to do so. The chance that you would inadvertently hit the button on the Grand for long enough to do damage is so minute that its hardly worth considering. It would really require an unusual movement to do so. JMO

Well hello Mr Fancy Pants!

I am commercial/industrial electrician. I get in very tight situations a lot of the time. Some which I am sure you can't even imagine. This is why I got some as durable as the Reo to begin with.

I have broken many of analog packs in my time. I was in a squatted position with my thigh pinched against my stomach cutting red board for a switch gear. I can easily see how that movement would push the Grand into my pelvic area. I was in this position for at least 10 minutes with the Grand and other things in my front pocket.

It isn't even worth considering?

I am not sure it is what happened. Yet I can easily see how it could have, and be worth considering.

but thanks for opinion. For some reason Robert put the trigger lock in the specs. I wonder why?

I guess we should tell him to take it out of the specs, since we don't need that function.

My mistake. I'm sure what you've described is what happened.

Dealing with turning buttons off becomes second nature after a short while, very akin to opening a pack and using the lighter. Lighters are so ingrained in me that I have to keep them put up in drawers as I like to try and light mods, I totally ruined a few of the slim batts early on trying to light them
