I think I may have burned the head on one of my Vivi Nova 2.5's regular sized tanks.

Is there a coil under the wick that can burn? I got a burnt taste, so I washed out the tank. When I was washing the head off, I tugged gently on the wick. It looked dark on each side where it attaches to the head.

Can the wicks be removed, washed, and put back in?

Does Got Vapes sell replacement wicks? Or is it best just to get a whole new head if I burned it?

I didn't see a general help thread or a Vivi Nova 2.5 3.5 ml thread, so I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

Thanks for the help :) :) :)

The wick won't burn, but the juice could be burned into the wick. The wick passes thru the coil, it's difficult to remove once used. I'd suggest soaking the head in some PGA, Vodka, or vinegar for a few hours. I put mine in a sealed bottle and shake it periodically. Then remove it, and blow it out. Let it dry for a few hours.

See what it looks like, you might want to try a dry burn if it's still gunked up. Use low voltage if possible, no more than 3.7, and do short burns, 1-2 seconds, until you see the whole coil turn orange.

Once this is done, repeat the soak to wash out any burned up gunk that came off the coils. Let dry again, and you should be good to go.

Ctor - I have PGA, vodka and vinegar - any one you would recommend over another? Thank you! I have never had luck dry burning attys, kind of afraid to do that but I could try it at 3.0, wouldn't hurt.

Use PGA. It evaporates almost completely and leaves the least residue, and what is left will burn off quick once you start vaping.

Yeah, best to avoid dry burning altogether if possible because it can weaken the coil, but if it's that or replace the head, it's worth a go.

Errr... I do not have PGA, sorry. I have PG. I'll try the vodka then.

That's what I use. I can't get PGA here, so I use 100 proof Vodka. Good luck.

Thanks! ay yi yi - the only vodka is my daughter's "birthday cake flavored" vodka! I guess I have to use vinegar or buy some more. PGA is really expensive here. Curious as to why they don't have it there...hmm.
