Did I do any real damage?

I just got my 510 w/ manual battery and accidentally put it in my back pocket and sat on it. I wouldn't have even realized it but my .... (poor choice of words, I know) started to burn. I was sitting on it for about 30-45 seconds. The atty was scorched and the little bit of vapor I got after letting it cool tasted horrible.

I have since moved on to my other atty and I'm being much more careful but is there still hope for my old one? Can I do that soaking thing or would that not apply for my case? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(now I remove the atty from the battery so I don't have any other accidents)

I guess you had a hot .... for a while lol!!

If the fibers in the wick in the atty are burnt you may have to take some tweezers and pull out the burned fibers.

I've had burnt wick fibers before and removed them with tweezers and the atty still works great.

Drip some fresh juice on it and try it.

I'll have to wait til tomorrow when I get my juice but it smells burnt. Well a little but I'm still worried.

I'm pretty sure that if you inhaled on a burnt atomizer you're going to die. I would go right to the emergency room if I were you.

I read about this somewhere... pretty sure the result is death.


































Just kidding of course. I'm sure you did no major damage. Try a fresh drip on it as suggested and if it is burned up, we're lucky that new attys are pretty cheap!! Time to find a new way to carry the 510 me thinks.
