Did I do it right?

Hi, another noob here. I've been using a couple V2 cigarette-style e-cigs for a year. I knew there had to be a better way, but I was too lazy to look into it until one of my already terrible batteries became literally (not just practically, anymore) useless.

Anyway, I found your forums two days ago, learned a lot, and went nuts ordering stuff. I have a little extra cash ATM, so I ordered a provari and two 18650 batteries and a charger. And a regular sized phiniac tank, 10 boge 510 2ohm cartomizers, and a bunch of juice from heather's heavenly vapes.

I just wanted to ask the pros here, am I doing it right? I know all my stuff is going to be compatible, but should I have gone lower on the cartomizer resistance or gotten a different tank? Should I drip on atomizers instead? Have I bitten off more than I can chew, or anything else?

I'm so excited. I've still been smoking analogs off and on because my V2 junk isn't always enough/charged/not nasty tasting. I'm sure this new gear coming in the mail next week will make me quit for good

Did you get the extension cap for the Provari? It natively takes 18490/18500 batteries and the extra cap allows 18650s.

Other than that your looking golden. You'll love the provari for sure.

I agree with the extension cap question...a lot of heather's need a minimum of a 7 day steep so I would suggest a dripping atty to try them every few days. Other than that....you did fantastic

Did you get a battery charger?

Are your cartomizers pre-punched (or with laser-drilled holes)? If not, you'll need a carto punch tool.

Do you have a drip tip for the tank?

Other than that, I recommend a Slap yo Momma tank tool from Big Daddy Vapors. It will protect your tanks o-ring from damage and prolong their life, it also really assists in assembling and filling your tank. Slap Yo' Mama Adapter : Big Daddy Vapor

I would have gotten 3.0 ohm single coil cartos prepunched, but that is personal preference. A 3.0 ohm carto will allow a wider range of voltages. Safe Vaping Power Chart:

A couple of 2ohm cisco atty's from avid vapor will set you back $20 or so. Not a bad investment to get a clean taste from your soon to be arrivals. FYI...Imo...Heather's NETs need a good 2 to 3 week steep to experience the flavors at their best

I think you did great. I really like the punched carto/tank setup, but alternate them with Vivi Novas because it's still a bit of a messy fuss to reassemble and fill them, and when I'm in a hurry or whatever it's really fast and easy to just fill a VN and hit the road...

With the provari, I'm also getting a 5 pack of 3ohm cartos, so I can see what that's like. The YouTube videos by somebody "Green" (too lazy to look it up, I'm sure you know who I'm talking about), he seemed to only use LR cartomizers, so I assumed that was the way to go.

3Ω would be high resistance, low is around 2Ω and below

But best part about variable voltage is it won't really matter all that much. Adjust the voltage up with the 3Ω and down for any low resistance you get.

It sounds like you are talking about a clearo tank, like a Vivi Nova?

If you want to get one to try, go for it. They are fast and easy to fill...just unscrew the top cap and fill with juice to the top of the string wicks, then replace the cap. Allow a few minutes for the wicks to absorb the juice by swirling the tank around.

Some people really love these. I for one, believe that many flavors are not wicked well with this system (especially heavy vg liquids) and have muted flavor as a result. Your results may vary.

I think you will find you get the best flavor from your cartotank.
