A .... hole...
It's with great pleasure that my friend give me a 510 ikenvape 2.5 as a gift when I received my first vvpv: VMax SS.

With a pleasing startoff to my first dripping, it gives me the most enhanced vaping experience so far after 4 hours of burnin.
I came from an ego T with boge carto background so it's really an experience that I recommend to my friend as well whom got the similar 2.5 ohm for his VMax.

Sadly, good story ended fast. My given 2.5 went busted after almost 2 weeks only. Even sadder for my friend who brought his and only to use for 3 days.

Before we head out and get ourselves another, like to ask.
1. Switching between 3.0 to max of 3.5v pm VMax, wondering if it's too high for ikenvape 2.5 ohm to withstand?
2. Should we get 3.5ohm instead?
3. What else should we observe and do to prevent another sudden death of a young ikv atty?

Thanks and appreciate all help and advice.

The VMax PWM alogrithms are out to lunch, well version one is. V1 = 5V when you swap batteries, V2 = 3V when you swap batteries.

The PtoP peak to peak voltage when you fire the button = 9.96V plus there is a secondary wave going on that folks still have not figured out.

Your volatage is fine or should be for 2.5 Ohm (4.2-5V) The 3.5 Ohm is a better candidate for the VMax and keep it under 4.5V, don't forget to pulse the switch while vaping. You won't notice it but your atties will love you for it by giving you increased longevity :)

Thanks man for the tip.
Just wanna be sure about the "pulsing" part.
It's like 2 sec vape, 1 sec off, 2 sec vape again?

Wanna get into the habit first before the ikenvape arrive... and trying hard not to kill it too soon... :X

Hope this coming atty can last else I might turn to Rebuildable to keep the cost low...

Yup! that it :) The atty is still generating vapor on the pause, but the atty has a chance to cool down (read slightly)

At $8.00 a pack for stinkies that I'm no longer buying I figure anything over a couple days on any atty or carto is gravy. I mean if you read any manufacturers ad it says one atty or carto is equivalent to a pack of stinkies I believe. Anyway we have been spoiled by the longevity of Ikenvape cartos and attys so when one don't last 3 weeks (or months in the Fusions case):D we get upset. I've had Fusions last 2 Mo. and I've also went through them at a box in 5 days but I feel your pain. It would be nice if they had a set lifespan but that just isn't the case.
I do hope your next one lasts a very long time. As do mine.LOL:D:)

Thanks guys...

While it's nice to hear that one have such longevity on their ikv Atty, I have another sad story to tell.

Been waiting eagerly for my 510 cannon to arrive and finally it came last night . Sadly, this joy doesn't last even an hour... can safely say it's not even a 15mins...

Blow out primer, drip 5 drops, fire 1 sec twice, drop 2 drops. I finally get to enjoy my halo after a long wait. Top it up for a second round and nightmare begins... it can't fire.

Check voltage: 3.5v (just starting to experiment from low).
Check battery: 7.3v left. All good.
Check connection: all nice clean and dry.
Check atty end: no leak.

Switch display to show resistance of atty (I away choose to show voltage to track in case I burn), put on ikv 3.5, fire and it shows 9.9o and that is my nightmare...

I can't get over this. The 2.5ohm trip on me after less than 2 weeks. Waited 1 week and the new 3.5ohm died on me in barely 15mins.
I really can't take it anymore...

Sounds like your having a problem with your PV if it's burning them all up.

It's strange.
While waiting for ikv to arrive, I'm using trap tank with Boge LR without a single burnout.
Used a few single coil SR carto without burnout as well.

That is weird. I use mostly Fusions but at least once a day I use something else just to mix it up. I only lost one I06 and it was due to not knoing anything about it. I pulled it in two.

Thought things is at it's worst... now it's getting out of hand... :(

Latest... just minutes ago...
My friend's 2.5 510 die on him in just a day of usage... it's from the same order as mine...
Using vmax as well and running at 3.3v.

Now he's using the 3.5 (from same order) on 3.9v and he's now getting much vapor. Worse than using carto, he commented...

We brought from an authorized dealer of ikv and now waiting for the seller to get back to us. He's been a good seller (which we brought our vmax from as well ) so hopefully he can give us some good explanation.

can't help but to think we might be getting a bad batch. :(
Kinda disappointed when we hear awesome review on ikv atty on it's longevity but we have yet experienced it ourselves.

Hope it's not a sign for us to move to Rebuildable...

Another sad news again.

Last order: 2 x 2.5 510 and 2 x 3.5 510 cannon v2.
1st death: my 3.5 cannon v2. Less than 1 day. Vaping at 3.5v VMax.
2nd death: friend's 2.5. Just a few hours later after mine. Vaping at 3.3v VMax.
3rd death: my brother's 2.5. Just 2 days after we got the atty. Vaping at 3.8 estimated on Ego T Twist.

Last one standing: my friend's 3.5 which he is currently using now and keeping finger crossed.

I have went on to buy a multimeter just to check on the voltage output from my Vmax.
All seems regular to me that is appears to me it's not my pv's fault to kill the atty.
VMaxOutput.jpg
All result is from average of 3 fire. VMax: Stainless Steel with ability to retain setting. Not sure which version this will be.
This is my own pv reading. Waiting for a chance to test my friend's and my brother's when time allow.

Before this saga, i had 1 2.5 as a gift from friend. Dead after 2 weeks before i placed my own order of 2 more. 1 for my friend and 1 is mine. Both 2.5 510. Both of our last no more than 1 week.
In total, 5 atty within 2 weeks. 3 of them within 2 days. All burning way below their maximum recommended voltage output.

Have highlight the thought of buying from a bad batch to my supplier.
According to my supplier who is one of the authorized dealer, he have contacted ikenvape to check on the batches.
I hope this crazy situation can get some resolution.
5 atty busted within 2 weeks is totally not cool.

A .... hole...
Almost a week since i last posted my experience with my latest order.
Dropped a mail to ikenvape on 1st Sept and have yet to receive any response.
Wonder if my mail landed into the spam/junk mail folder for whatever reason.
No response here as well as i see that ikv is active here. Hmmm

Got the latest update from my authorized vendor for ikv and he told me he's testing out 5 random selected atty for his current batch and feedback to me soon after his testing. Meantime, he have also feedback to ikv on my encounter before i dropped ikv an email and he, as an authorized distributor, is also waiting for feedback from ikv.

My friends and i missed dripping and vaping on ikv, that's definite.
However, no response (given the timezone difference) after almost a week doesn't seems right to my friend and i.
Is anyone in ikv checking the mail? Or this thread?
Would appreciate some attention to get a resolution to this.

TIA.

Like to bring this up with new update.

About a day ago, Isaac have contacted me via email! Gotta say his reply ease 3 worried mind of our. Kind gesture with awesome support from him and team.
Have just replied him as well as updated him on the latest sad news. Ya, the last 3.5ohm from previous order and 2 x 2.5ohm atty from latest order died with hours again. Have to say we are suffering from depression of some sort.

Looking forward to Isaac's email. :)
