Did I get a bad clone?

I recently bought a lotus rda clone off of eBay and I haven't seen a real lotus but it was made to run a tri coil build but the clone that I got has the post holes setup to where I can only run a dual coil or is the real one actually like that? the seller told me to just trap the lead on the third coil under the screw of the positive post and it should work fine but I just want to know if anyone else has the same thing
