I've been lurking for a couple weeks as I'm new to this whole vaping thing. I just got my Vamo from Smoktech in the mail. Question, is there suppose to be threading at the seam just under the fire button? Mine doesn't have any so when I but the batteries in and start to screw on the end cap the pressure from the spring makes the unit come apart at that top seam(under the fire button). Am I missing something here? Did I get a defect? I'm so bummed I had been excitedly waiting for it.

Assuming your using the larger 18650 batteries; The seam just under the fire button does not unscrew, the second seam does however, which allows you to remove (unscrew) that section and put it aside so you can screw the end cap back onto the device so it can fit 18350 batteries. Based on your description, it sounds like you should return it. Maybe take a picture of it so we can all see?

that top seam you are speaking of is press fitted and is not threaded. quite a few people have had it come apart (mainly from dropping it) but you can firmly press it back together and use it...i would still consider contacting the vendor for a replacement

you can press it back together pretty hard...just be careful not to push on the 510 connector

edit: i would even debate using a rubber mallet and some type of washer (to not hit the 510 connector)...but that is your call b/c if you scuff it up the vendor may not be so happy to replace it

Yea its sucks I was super pumped to try it out, Ive read a lot of good things about it on here. I wouldn't want to try and fix it myself right out of the box, I paid good money for a product I shouldn't have to repair it the day I get it. I hear Smoktek has pretty good customer service so lets see how it works out, I already shot them an email.
