So, my "missing" USPS package showed up this evening...WooHoo!!

Got a Phoenix V6 RDA, an Aspire BDC tank, along with some coils and a couple extra ego-c twist batteries.

I soaked all my parts for about 30 minutes or so, just to give a quick cleaning. (except the BDC coil)

For some reason, neither the RDA nor the Aspire will register on my eVic. Tried putting to sleep, power on/off, nothing.

It does register my EVOD head (ego threading) not registering either 510 threaded. Just tried my current tank, AnyVape Davide, and it registers correctly and vapes fine.

After a few minutes of scratching my head, I did the "lift the pin" trick on the eVic, and now the Aspire registers.
Before I soaked everything, I fired up the RDA on a ego battery, just enough to barely see the coils glow. Now it does nothing on even the ego battery. Even tried replacing both coils/wicks with the spares from the box. Do not have my Fluke with me (it's at work).

Anybody have any (sensible) :2cool: ideas?

No. I am a self-admitted idiot, but thankfully not that big of one...

You are right to ask, though..my OP does make it sound like I might have done just that.

I work in software support... You do not know how many times I have had to ask if the software was launched and that was what closed the ticket.

Try doing IT for a commanding general.......

I did get it to finally fire up again...guess my coils were not touching quite right. One more question...

I can get it to light up (gently, of course) on an ego-c twist, but still nothing on the eVic. Is it safe to use on the ego-c without truly knowing what the actual ohms are? Should I wait to test it on my Fluke at work before vaping on it with an ego-c??

do you have any adapters? 510 to 510 or 510 to ego? might make a connection better on you Evic

Yeah...tried that too...510 to ego (or vice-versa, can't remember which one it is called) bought it with my eVic, cause I was told I needed it to make ego tanks work with the eVic. It reads my ego tanks (evod, vision victory) and my 510 AnyVape Davide, but will not read the RDA.

The RDA works (can get the coils to glow) on my ego battery, just wondering if it is safe to use it without knowing for sure what the ohms are?

Sounds like the RDA has a very high center pin. Adapter should have been a given and worked perfect.

Check center to 510 thread end alignment - it should protrude slightly.

I had similar problems with the Evic with my Mini-dids and AGA-T's until I realized I had the center pin cranked up to tight. after resetting every one works perfect on every device.

NO, do not assume your stick batteries will be okay. Verify resistance first to be safe. Only takes a second to pop a battery controller and kill it.
