So all you Vamo owners know that the center post/connection sits a bit higher than flush and there is a little gap between the tank and the body. So I very carefully turned it upside down and ran it across a very fine flat file and made it flush with the top of the mod.
But now when I screw any of my tanks all the way down it shows 0 ohms and I get nothing out of it but if I back it off again to about where it was before I file it, it works fine but then it is a little loose.
Did I hose my Vamo? Are you not supposed to file that center post flush?
Can I send it in anywhere to get fixed?

You have changed the size of the connector. Doesn't sound like something you should have messed with for just a little aesthetics..
Also, even if it worked, you would now cut off the airflow.
You might possibly fix it using a 510/510 adapter or an 510/eGo adapter.. either way is going to really mess with your aesthetics fixation as they will raise the connection a hell of a lot more.

Yeah I was trying to figure out how this thing comes apart to see if I could take that connector off but can't seem to figure out how it comes apart.

Pick a factory in China. There are at least a dozen of them that make the vamo.
Maybe if you know someone that works with metals.. or can find an old vamo you can scavenge ..

You may also be able to try something from this thread on fixing the 0ohm issue, removing the material may only be part of the issue, after doing that you may have pushed the center pin down

You are thinking along the same lines that I am..

The 0 ohms is a dead short you need something to keep the center pin from contacting the side wall... and the 0 ohms fix with using the thicker o ring like they talk about could be what is needed to keep the short from happening..
