I was perusing the deepest recesses of the Internet this week and came across a picture of a GG that shorted out and exhausted spent battery gasses. When did this happen?

Yeah, its a sad chapter in GG history but people only remember the result, not why, and womblebat is right that others still use it to his day. Prior to buying the GGs I had researched all the threads in this subforum (there were a lot less 12/10!!!!) and saw that and how it had gone down and been rectified.........

You are ubsolutely right Torq. If you try a little you will have many recalls. If you try harder you will have some recalls. If you try very hard you will may have 1-2 recalls. But if you stick only in one model you will never have any recalls for sure Torq.
Only one recall of a GG item when I have made at least 15 models of everything its more than ok I think
Even Mercedes Benz has recall's. Nothing is 100% infallable and in my opinion, the GG's are about 99.99%

I thought the one in the picture was a setup job intentionally done and the guy admitted to it??

I'll agree with that. Believe this or not - in 1984 had a brand new Pontiac Fiero. Had to take it back 45 times the first yr. YES 45 times. Even the radio blew. 3 times repainted - kept spiderwebbing. Head gasket and on and on and on.
