I started vaping yesterday, I am vaping at 18 mg.

I was a 2 pack a day smoker. I smoked about 20 cigs yesterday and vaped too. I don't think I vaped too much. Most of my 20 cigs were before I started vaping yesterday.

I probably smoked about 9 cigs after I started vaping. (I did have hubby go get me some cheap cigs, that I have never smoked before, taste like crap, thought it might help....)

That being said, I have itched none stop since about 7 pm last night. I haven't itched as bad this morning. But a bit is still there... No hives or anything, no headache, no nausea... just itching like mad!

Could I be allergic?
I don't want to be allergic!! My lungs feel better already this morning!

Did you itch? How did you stop it? What should I do??

Thank you in advance!

I got very dry skin so I inched a lot before I started. PG will dehydrate the body so drinking a lot of liquid is a must.
Have you tried using body moisturizer? If not, give that a try.

Another option, if you had 20+ analogs (real cigs) and you vaped yesterday, you might have gotten too much nicotine. Try cutting back on one or the other. My choice would be the analogs. If you still itch, I'd then say clean out the carts and get rid of the PG and try VG.
That's what I did when I get a sore throat. Working the PG back in now and then seems to be building my tolerance for it.

I did itch somewhat at first too but want real bad. You might be alergic to PG. Or you had to much nic from analogs and vape.

I dont know really. I never touched another analog when I got my first PV so I cant tell you how that might feel to do both.

Hope it clears up. You might have to use VG instead of PG in your juice.

Thanks y'all! I appreciate the help.

I probably am not drinking enough. I will try more lotion as well. :)

I am using a usb passthough so I don't have cartridges and am dripping. So I don't know if that makes a difference... ?

:oops:I hate to sound like an idiot but how do you know which E-liquids are PG or VG?

Thanks again for your help!

I "itched" for a few days. I attributed it to my skin crawling from withdrawal from some of the 4000 chemicals in cigarettes. But if you have an allergy to PG you can swtich to VG. I'm not a doctor but remember you are going through withdrawal from a lot of weird toxic chemicals, so some mild symptoms of things will happen. If anything beyond mild happens go to the doctor. Also you may have some very vivid dreams for a few days. Enjoy the ride (and the vape) welcome.

Wild dreams might be fun! lol

I am hoping the itching is just withdrawal from all the bad stuff in analogs.

I'm obviously not allergic to nicotine, I have been using it for 35 yrs... :D

I just want this to work so much!!

Health wise I truly believe vaping is the way to go...

I just have to iron out the kinks, right????

Thanks y'all!

You are allergic to pg. Either cut the pg with 30% vg or switch to vg alltogether. Been there, done that . I think I tolerated the itching for a total of 1 day before I said F this. So now I cut my pg juice down or go straight vg. Anytime I try straight pg again the itching comes back. It's just a light sensitivity to pg, probably from pg being in everything else and then adding the e-cig.

Could PG be my problem too? I have been vaping for 3 months now, and haven't had a problem....until last night. I was at work, and I started itching....I thought it was just dry skin, but I woke up this morning broke out all on my arms and legs with a rash. I have a Dr's appointment in the morning- but I was wondering if I may be allergic to the PG...because that is the only type of liquid I have been vaping.
