Do people around you indoors complain that they smell your vaping?

The GF complains a little but I think she's still getting used to the idea of vaping in general. My friend's reactions range from 'smells like pancakes, doesn't bother me' to 'That smells delicious!'

On topic, yep the vaping keeps me off the analogues, especially after a few beers.

I was a three pack a day smoker for 22 years. After being diagnosed with heart disease I tried everything to quit and nothing worked. I haven't had a cigarette since the day after I got my e-cig. It's been four months now and I can honestly say, I have no desire to go back. I love my e-cig and try to get everyone I know to quit too :)

Hate to admit it, in a way, but I'm a quitter. I quit smoking. I quit coughing. I quit stinking. I quit burning. I quit eating flavorless food. I quit smelling odorless aromas. I'm a quitter. My parents would be proud, though they taught me not to be a quitter. I quit right after the first of the year and did so with a smart startup kit, some strong juice, long lasting batteries, and decent clearos. But I had quit before, first time in 2009 with a 510 setup. Didn't make it. Second time in 2011 with a 650 ego setup. Didn't make it. The difference this time? Strong batteries and juice, good toppers. Vaping is my pleasure. I quit smoking. Doesn't work for me anymore. Tastes disgusting, the one puff I've had this year. Holy crap! I can't believe I did that for 35 years, 3 PAD. I'm a quitter...

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Three months free from dipping! My brother has already been a year nonsmoking and talked me into it, it definately helps to have someone that already has it figured out explain it all to you. Have been into the rdas here lately and love it!

What made me try it was my neighbor who smoked like a chimney. As soon as she picked up a device from someone at her work she easily stopped cigarettes. I was amazed and had to try it myself and got a setup about a little over a week ago. A few days later (two days ago) I stopped smoking the analogs, too, and now vape exclusively with no desire to light up a cig.

I tried cigalikes initially after my doctor suggested I look into them. I didn't really like them and I vaped and smoked simultaneously. During a period of increased stress I realized I was smoking more than I ever had before and I felt terrible, so I hit the intertubes and discovered ECF, which opened up a whole new world for me. I bought a couple of Vision spinners and some clearomizers, and I put the cigarettes away 2 days later. I just didn't need or want them anymore. I've been smoke free since August 1, 2013, and in the process picked up a wonderful new obsession (hobby). Thanks ECF!

I smoked for about three days after I bought my first eGo setup. After I got used to vaping and broke the mental need for a cigarette I haven't looked back. Now I have a mechincal mod (dripper) and I absolutely love it. Vaping/dripping is way more fun, and learning to rebuild coils and work with the mechanical mods gives me way more to do than collect cigarette coupons.

As of today, October 2nd, 2013 at 11 am Pacific time, I have been without an Analog cigarette for 5 days. I am VERY surprised, and happy how awesome Vaping works! I have been a smoker for over 35 years and NOTHING helped, and many in my way barely survived and broke down begging me to have a ciggie.
What got me to this point most recently was recently hearing my mother now has lung cancer. She is now currently in a rest home. Before that, her brother also died of lung cancer last year. Before that was her older sister died of lung cancer (back in the 80's) - she was only 42 years old.

I am under a lot of stress (I have 10 year old twin boys of which one has autism) I did sort of quit for my children when carrying them, then started up again due to the stress. Then again I tried to quit only to start again after hearing of our one twin son's Autism diagnosis. Now my mom.
I've been really tired of coughing my lungs out in the morning. So I gave the Magic 25 cig filters a try. They worked in a way by actually showing me what black tar and more was getting caught but I still smoked more than ever with them. I knew more black gunk was still entering my lungs. What I found so strange is that even when I tried to clean the used filters with 90% rubbing alcohol, much of the black gunk would NOT come off.. I can only imagine what my lungs look like.

Then on the local news recently, Oregon lawmakers are debating on TAXING e-cigs! That ticked me off even though I was not a vaper user (yet) So I bought over 500 bucks worth of various vapers, e-juice flavors and strengths of nic and waited for it all to arrive. My husband, a non-smoker, feared if this would work and prepared for the ranting wife if without a ciggie.. but is so surprised how vaping is working for me! AS AM I! Believe me, I WAS a hard core 1.5 PAD smoker. Full flavor 100's.

Right when I started vaping, the very next day, 24 hours of being with out an analog, I gathered the rest of my carton of cigs, packed them up in a freezer zip lock bag and hid them deep down in our basement freezer. I've tossed out my old big ashtray and hid the lighters near our emergency candles.

Also, just yesterday, on the local Portland, Oregon news, now they are going to raise Cig tax another 10%

I wished I had started vaping years ago!

I quit smoking overnight. That was almost 2 years ago.

The thing is, I never even intended to quit. I just wanted my car to smell better. So, it isn't a big deal for me to bum a smoke here and there, since abstinence was never my intention. I still consider myself "cigarette-free" although some may take issue with that. I'm exceedingly happy for those who abstain completely. And to those people I say, don't be too hard on yourself if cravings get the better of you. I still believe cigarette addiction is partly due to a psychological urge to be "naughty" :) Some may take issue with that too.

Once I found a flavor and throat hit I liked I never had another analog and that was almost four years ago.

Like I have said before, why smoke when I get the same satisfaction with a ecig?

As far as quitting one habit for another it doesn't matter what you do you do this.If you quit eating too much you pick up another habit to help you stop.
At least with ecigs it is easier to step down your Nic content down to 0%.
