Can someone explain what the differences between these 2 are?

Trying to figure out why the ipv4 is more than 50% cheaper and has higher wattage than the more expensive sx mini m class....obviously your getting something more with the sx mini, but I'm not sure what exactly.

Thanks in advance

Definitely better build quality. In that respect, I'd say there is really no comparison.

The internal engineering and craftsmanship of the SXmini is comparable to the finest devices on the market. Quality through and through.

As far as the actual boards go, the SX330 in Power mode does not offer true buck circuitry, and delivers a PWM signal to achieve lower voltages, and a DC-DC signal at higher voltages. The SX350J of the SXmini M Class offers true buck/boost circuitry and delivers a flat DC signal regardless of the voltage output. The accuracy of the SX350J puts it up there with some of the most accurate devices on the market, right on par with the dna and ProVari. The SX330 boards do not achieve that level of accuracy.

EDIT: I will add here that the SXmini DOES have the option of adding a second battery in series that boosts the power delivery up to 120W. It looks ridiculous, and if you NEED something above 60W in a device, I would personally stick with the dual battery mods like the iPV4 / Sigelei mods just cause the battery extension on an SXmini looks like a freak show. Plus, if you're routinely using the device above 60W in power mode, you won't be experiencing the PWM rattlesnake vape anyway. All that said, if you can get a dual 18650 custom mod that shares a similar form factor to the iPV / Sigelei boxes (side by side batteries) with an SX350J board, I would go with that over the SX330 V4S option.

As far as the SX330 V4S board in temp limiting mode, I can't speak for that. I would assume that they perform similarly, but take in to account that the SX330 won't be as accurate as the SX350 with regards to voltage delivery.

The biggest difference though with price is going to be in materials, engineering and craftsmanship of the mod itself. It's difficult to see in pictures but blatantly obvious in the hand. The SXmini is built MUCH better than any iPV or Sigelei mod. MUCH better...

Decent video showing the comparisons, but I don't know how he can say the vape is identical when the ipv4 doesn't have power modes. Ramp time IMO completely changes the vape.

All that being said, for the price, I'm sure it is an excellent mod. I wish they didn't mirror the screen though. The ipv3 screen is nice and bright.

My opinion, if you can afford the SX Mini, and don't generally go over 60w, grab it!

If money is an issue, or you find yourself vapping over 60w often, this seems like a very nice alternative.

I agree, though. What were they thinking with that mirror screen protector? I've seen reviewers who say they can't read the screen at all outdoors. Major negative....

I agree about the screen, fortunately it is very easy to fix (about five minutes to remove mirror finish on display area). With the mirror finish removed on the screen section of the cover the display is very bright.

If you look at the thing with the screen removed it becomes very apparent the mirror finish was added to hide the horrible construction under it.

I ended up grabbing a sx mini m class from the classifieds for my youngest son (23) who absolutely loves it. The quality of the device is phenomenal (and I don't use that phrase often) it's heavier than I expected, smaller than I expected, but the build quality is "all there". The presentation is amazing too. The 510 "landing pad" is 23mm so even the taifun gt2 fits great.

I can't speak to the quality of the ipv4 which is why I asked, but the sx mini is nothing short of top of the line. And here's something people may or may not know, you can buy a stack tube from varitube to stack two 18650's and get 120w out of it if you want to. Yeah it has a tube coming out the bottom that way, but if you get/have the sx your not limited to 60w. (no I didn't order the tube yet, but maybe in the near future)
