Hello,

I just received my long awaited SX Mini M Class and found that some of my atties fail to fit into the 510 connector. If the 510 on the atty are on the long side, the threads may catch on and I can screw it in. Otherwise, I'm SOL

I would like to know if anyone has or could measure the OD of their SX Mini and report back. I just want to verify that the 510 adapter on my unit may be out of specs.

Thank you in advance.

Haven't had any issues on my SX mini m-class with any of my attys though I only have a couple. Don't think I have anything to measure accurately.

Thanks.. I appreciate the thought. I don't have this issue with any of my mods except this one. I think it could be due to the adjustment Yihi made to address atties with longer 510 connections not seating properly. They may have widen the upper portion of the SX Mini's 510 receptacle.

The only 510 problem I had was with the Lemo. It was not making contact very well and the resistances that were showing were off by .03 to 2ohm. So I took a couple of the small o-rings off of one of those keychain screwdrivers that come with many atomizers, slipped them over the adjustable pin on the Lemo's 510 connector and that fixed the problem. BTW, I did not have the same issue with the fixed pin on the Lemo 2.

That's a cool solution to use when the atty 510 positive pin doesn't stick out enough. I think you resurrected a few atties that I couldn't use on my hybrid mod (4nine). Thanks! My issue is the threading will not catch on some of my authentics that I love :(

My defective SX Mini M with the oversized 510 connector was evaluated and verified by the vendor I purchased it from. They said they have never seen that problem before and there may be a problem with the new batch of units recently produced. They are sending me a replacement unit immediately. I had also contacted Yihi customer service directly and received absolutely no support from them as an enduser. They asked for information and told me to use only atomizers that fit. Hopefully, this case is an isolated one with the new production units rolling out. Yihi has really bad customer service. The sad thing is this was a brand new unit.. everything was impeccable including the overtapped 510 connector. Oh, I think the paint was improved upon because I had a pebble grain type finish.

We are also having a problem with 510 on my husbands sx mini. MOST atties don't work. We have contacted the original vendor to see what they say before contacting Yihi.. this is the second post we have seen that Yihi says sorry about your luck. Hopefully we can work something out.

Your best bet is replacement through your vendor. Yihi probably didn't believe it was an issue because I was one of the first to report it. The replacement my vendor sent me was perfect and no more 510 issues. Good luck!

While most 510 Devices seem to be fairly accurate from the start, Atty side threading is all over the board.

I've had the same issue on several devices and always found it to be the particular atty slightly out of spec.
I normally relegate those to backup status rather than prematurely wearing down a good 510 Mod.

*** The initial part of your Post eludes to Length not Diameter. Assuming length really is not the issue?

Users of the earlier SXM had problems with longer 510 pins on the spring loaded 510 connector but that was resolved almost immediately by Yihi. With the replacement I received, the ID of the 510 connector was 6.65mm vs. 6.87mm on the defective unit. I don't have any 510 problems on any of my mods including my hybrid mechanicals where lengthy 510's can cause a misfire problem (4nine).

Thanks! They just had us make a VIDEO of the issue lol! It was a little awkward but it got the job done. Now to wait to hear from the vendor, who is being awesome about this. They are in contact with Yihi. We shall see.

None of my husbands atties fit his. At all. I really think its the 510 that's the issue on these. Seriously... not one single atty ,dripper or tank, can be screwed on. Something is up with that 510.

I purchase mine from Delaware Vapor and once I contacted them, they reserved a replacement for me.
I returned the defective unit and they confirmed the issue with the 510. I received my replacement two days later. Everything was resolved within 5 days ( I'm in Cali, they are in DE). Delaware even refunded all my shipping charges. They are a solid reputable vendor in my book. I hope you receive similar type service from your vendor as well.

I've had mine since around the time they first came out & I've never had a problem with any atty I've put on it.
The oversized 510 is a rarity by the number of reports on it. All I can say is with the defective SXM, a majority of my atties did not fit. With the replacement SXM, all of them fit. I'm very happy with mine and I'm glad I purchased it. I have an all black and there are no paint issues whatsoever.
