Differences between Provari/Hana/Hexohm

Hey all. Im new to this, so bear with me. I know that Provari and Hana units are variable voltage/wattage and that the wattage adjusts with buttons on the side. However, it seems like a Hexohm has a much better 510 connector which interests me since Ive had an authentic $200 Hana strip on me. My question with a Hexohm is do you adjust the wattage for your atty, or does it just spit out a constant amount of voltage? Also what is the difference between a Regulated and Unregulated mod?

Hexohm is variable voltage only. It can fire from 3.5 to 6v.

Unregulated means there is nothing to control the voltage being applied to your atty. This means whatever the voltage of your battery is is more or less what your atty will see.
For example, your standard 18xxx battery starts out at 4.2v fresh off the charger. As you use it the voltage starts to drop quickly, aand then will usually settle around 3.7v for a while, then just continue to drop with use.

Mechanical mods are the most common unregulated devices out there, though not all unregulated mods are necessarily mech mods.

Where as your Provari, Hana, Hexohm et. al use a circuit board to control the voltage being applied to your atty, regardless of the batteries charge status
