I have been using 3.2 ohm carto's for ~1 mo. They work pretty good with "bland" or lighter tobacco flavored juices. I mixed up a few batches of juice a little sweeter and darker than before. Now the carto's seem to be "scortching/burning" the juices much faster. Same vg/pg as before. So I ask, do the "sweet/dark juices" need a higher resistance carto to lower the heat factor and keep this from happening? If so, what might be a good resistance range for me to try. (I was thinking 3.6 ohm's or higher) kr808 battery by the way. Thanks for any insite!:2cool:

Edited for carto spec..

3.2 is moderately high resistance.
If your PV is a KR808D-1 connector, you could try vaporsetc boge hr cartomizers, and also I believe the vapor4life coolcarts. Both are supposed to be higher resistance, though if your current cartos actually measure in at 3.2 there might not be much difference.

I think 3.4ish is about as high as I have found so far. I thought maybe it was one of my sweetners, either the ethyl maltol or the sucralose. After looking back in my recipe notes it doesn't seem to be connected to one or the other specifically. (I made some with one or the other to see which I preferred.) hmmm guess I'll order at pack of the highest rated ones I cane find and see if it helps... Thanks for your input Mark.

If you are DIYing, an overshoot on flavoring can definitely push things over the top. I've done that a couple times, where I just had too high a % flavoring and the juice went boom, pretty much burnt flavor no matter what.

That could very well be the issue. I was using some flavors that were very weak tasting to me. I mixed them at 75pg/25vg, 20% flavor, and 1-3% sweetner. Tasted GREAT for about 10-12 pulls, then started with that nasty charcoal taste.

Survey says ding, ding, ding!!! 100% correct!
I couldn't standing the burnt taste so I whipped up a quick bottle of juice @only 10% flavoring. After 30 minutes of chain vaping it as hard as I could with 4 fresh kr808's... NO MORE BURNED TASTE! Thanks markfm, you saved the juice from tasteing like http://beachcombing.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/....jpg&imgrefurl=http://beachcombing.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/the-...-who-became-a-saint/&usg=__FMAneG4F5eAXQqbi4mVd4Z4QXlc=&h=301&w=400&sz=40&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=O6yeOyMeHnuZ8M:&tbnh=150&tbnw=204&ei=vA1kTcyDO5OgsQOgoY3YCA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dass%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1596%26bih%3D634%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=688&vpy=267&dur=743&hovh=195&hovw=259&tx=149&ty=106&oei=vA1kTcyDO5OgsQOgoY3YCA&page=1&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:12,s:0

I'm lovin my 3.2 catos again!
