The most hassle free, best tasting, set up for me are carto tanks. With clearos, I found that I had to rinse and dry burn them at least every other refill. Not only did I have to do this with mine, but with my husbands as well. It got old fast. With cartotanks, I can just refill multiple times. If the carto goes bad (they seem to last longer), I just switch out the carto for a new one. Above all, they deliver the best taste over every other clearo I've got, and I've got a lot. I get Pyrex tanks from IBTanked. They have customization options and are great quality. I've dropped several and they've survived the falls. Eventually one will break I'm sure, but the glass tube is easily replaceable.
My second choice are the new iClear b line. They come in 30b and 16b. Dual bottom coils for ease of maintainence and taste. I've given my husband all my Mini Protank II's. I've been spoiled by dual coils and carto tanks. Downside is, the iClear line only comes in plastic. They say it's resistant to tank cracking juices, but only time will tell.
Third choice is the Mini Protank II. This seems to be the easiest to maintain of every clearo we have. Coils for it can be found virtually anywhere. They also don't gurgle like larger bottom coil clearos do. I find the taste too muted for me now, but hubby rarely uses anything else. Above all, he wants a gurgle free clearo. Also, they're glass, and immune to tank cracking juices.
