Vaping seems to be losing it's taste - Do I have the wrong setup?

It's been about 2 months now .. NO Analogs. I used boges and smoktek cartomizers in my tank and I purchased a viva nova tank(i really like it) and used vision cartomizer. But now all juices are starting to have an after dry/hot taste. I was thinking maybe it is the polyfill or the silicon wick, also tried the cotton replacement wicks. I want to try the zenesis, but I do not want to spend that kind of money and have the same issue (dry after taste). I have brought ejuices from virgin vapors (which I really like), vaporsmith, copper creek, altsmoke and they are all starting to taste same. I find myself switching out carto all the time trying to get different taste. I have try all the vg/pg blends and nicotine levels. Is the zenesis atty flavor that much different? I need some help, please:(

That happens to almost all of us.
(A) Taste buds replace themselves frequently and while that is going on you will have poor to no taste not only with vaping but also food & drinks.
(B) You may be getting dehydrated from not drinking enough water, sodas do not replace water.
(C) Taste preferrences change, I have several flavors that were "go to vapes" that I no longer like or that have very little flavor to me now

Try lowering the flavour. I have found that some juices seem to fatigue your taste buds and lose all flavour after awhile. But if you add some PG (or VG) it doesn't happen. Of course you don't get that 'kicked in the head' feeling like you do with a strong juice for the first cart full but you can generally always taste it which I personally find preferable.

Cool, thanks for that... I've yet to buy my first e-cig/liquids so every little tip helps!

yeah, I think my tongue gets coated from the VG and hinders the taste sense. I have also found if I use the same flavor all the time eventually I can't really taste it anymore. I guess that makes sense, your tastebuds and sinuses get saturated with whatever notes are in the flavor. (so much taste is in the smell afterall)
anyway, I switch up flavors more now. Since I DIY I can mess around some with them, but to tell you the truth I probably don't use as strong of flavors anymore since they just get muted over time anyway.
I know my tastebuds are working fine because the flavor of foods are much better. So I don't worry about it really.

Thanks for your insight. I do drink plenty of water and I don't do sodas or fruit drink, basically I drink water and coffee or tea. I did find that the cotton wicks had a unique taste compare to the polyfill. I have three battery mod (ego-t pass thru, ego-c variable voltage and provari). I usually do minty mint for vaporsmith which I love, butter cream mint, organic Kona velvet milkshake, blueberry, strawberry and I loved organic VR4. I rotate the cartos all day long. Maybe my taste buds are just use to the variety. I wanted to try the ss mesh wick and see if that would make a difference, but if there is not that must of difference in taste then I can save my money.
